Loss of power and smoking out the exhaust bad burning oil out really fast. Just added almost a whole quart of oil and the new plug he put in was gummed up bad. I just got it here from my nephews house and wondering what to do. Loss of power pretty bad he says. I have not rode it yet just started it and it is smoking a lot. What's next for this?

Yup sounds like worn piston and rings and possibly scored cylinder. I've seen top end kits on ebay for like $35. with the cylinder! I'd personally stay with oem, but if money was tight, I'd maybe go that route. There are pdf files of the ttr125 service manual online for free download if you Google search it. Good luck and be meticulous, especially getting the timing marks lined up. First time doing it will probably take all day but it'll all be worth it when you fire it up and ride away smoke free.
