Dropbear Added a reply to Is the CR500 the only bike that could be competitive 20 years later?
12/9/2020 8:12pm One of my favourite memories was the Australian 2000 500 MXGP led by Michael Byrne on a near stock CR500 and Andrew McFarlane on a KX500 hybrid. One of the last hurrahs for the big 2 strokea.

Dropbear Added a reply to MTB marketing for MOTO?
11/11/2020 10:26pm I don’t think motocross peeps are as easily conned by advertising as mtb riders. A pedal bike as expensive as their moto steed?

I just saw AJ Catanzaro's clip on youtube when he tests a Alta MXR. Sound as he is super impressed and I must say he looks good on it. Even if I love 2-strokes and would hate seeing them go, I guess electric is the future. Maybe not in the next 10 years or so but still. I wont mind shredding a smaller SX style track on one. I have a family acquaintance kid who's 10 years old and lives in the shadow of New York City. His dad doesn't live with him and he mostly plays soccer and fortnite for fun. A few weeks ago they came out for a visit and he brought his razor electric dirt bike they probably bought a target or walmart. He was PSYCHED on it. I took it for a spin and although it didn't "feel" like a real dirtbikes it was fun to tool around the driveway and yard. These things are perfect for getting kids exposed to twisting a...

9/29/2020 2:41pm I can’t help you on whereabouts but I did a tour of the area on a bicycle about 15 years ago and there were lots of awesome tracks around the base of the Pyrenees. Now I know why so many cool MX bikes came from Spain back in the day. Huge motorcycle culture.
