12/21/2020 9:32pm Thanks Jemcee, I remember taking those photos of Michael Byrne and Chad Reed,I thought it was cool that they hung out after their race to watch the 250 race and were doing a little bench racing. I need to take more photos like that, Rupert is great at taking those kind of photos.

12/21/2020 1:06pm Passenger on a Harley 90 sidecar was a lot of fun for a 10 year old between races on my Noguchi Yamaha. Still follow Sidecarcross to this day, but my swinging days are over lol.

12/20/2020 8:28pm Fuck, I’m glad my main racing days were the 80’s and 90’s. I can’t stand these clowns.

12/11/2020 7:51pm Raced for 49 years. Never broke a bone. Rotator cuff playing Aussie rules is about all I carry. Rung my bell a couple of times though.

12/11/2020 3:41pm One thing I remember was landing in Newark and getting a bus to NYC in 1990, I noticed an MX track from the freeway. Blew me out a bit as a kid from a relatively small town in Oz. Does anyone know if it’s still there?

12/11/2020 2:51pm At the least in industrial areas. We have a pretty good track close to Adelaide (1.3 million + pop) about 15 to 20 min from CBD even OK for ICE engines.

12/11/2020 6:20am Get surgery, do all your rehab BUT don’t forget the injury too much, as you might just do something minor like throw a ball or similar some day without thinking and hurt it all over again. I’ve been there.

12/10/2020 8:50pm Glass is half empty: -BRP bought Alta and hasn't done a thing with it -Tracks can't afford to put in outlets for recharging, and who wants 500 generators running - nobody wants a no noise dirt bike Glass is half full: - BRP is investing heavy in the Alta tech they bought and bringing to market an electric SeaDoo which will open up the "no noise/no motor" lakes that are everywhere. Soon they will open up a huge market for themselves and put smiles on faces of those that haven't been able to ride on the water before. - Tracks...

12/10/2020 8:48pm I noticed at a practice day a few weeks ago, the number of riders that do more than 7 or 8 laps at a time is quite minimal. Most do less.

12/10/2020 2:21pm Try buying almost any power tool these days with a cord. There is no reason someone couldn't rig up quick change batteries on a current chassis right now. The development curve on almost any changes are typically at least 3 years to production.

12/10/2020 1:40pm Noise is not a problem for most tracks? I believe noise is a problem with every single track. Ask dade city, ask chad reed, ask any florida track owner..... Electric is the future man. You can disagree all you want, but look at the automotive industry. I’m not saying there won’t be motorized dirtbikes anymore, but why is everyone so against having electric dirtbikes? Everyone is all “grow the sport grow the sport” and then poops on something that could 100% grow our sport.

12/10/2020 1:39pm The answer is simple: we are waiting on battery technology to get to the point it needs to get to. Currently, its not even close to replace what we can do on our gassers. Cost, weight, storage capacity. These are things we can't get around, and likely won't be getting around for a decade. There is an excellent YouTube channel called Engineering Explained that does a great deep dive into Tesla's current battery technology and compares it to gasoline. Its a worthwhile watch for anyone wondering how close we really are in terms of storage. Net takeaway, we're probably 1/4-1/2...
