It’s a photo of me not looking as slow as I actually am...
Backstory is it’s a shot from the GNCC at High Point this past year. Sweeping the track like I usually do I came up on this corner and my buddy Aaron Monroe of Industrial Imaging was shooting photos. I looked over and he pointed to the corner, so I knew I had to just drive ‘er into the loose stuff and try to look cool.
That corner is actually out in the field on the “amateur side” of High Point. There’s a little grouping of trees in the field just above the Pro Section and this corner is a 180 (more like 165) around one big tree, and it always seems to get really loose and silty. Whenever we’ve ran the Mason-Dixon GNCC over to High Point, or the GP race at the Big Dave Vet Homecoming, or in this case the High Point GNCC, I typically layout the sections on the High Point property and seem to always send the track around this one corner at some point.
I came up with SEEMEFIRST thinking about finishing a race first, but it turned into more.
Like before you go bitching to the girls in the tower, see me first.
Anyway, as cheesy as it is, it's been around for a long ass time.
Jeff Cox caught this photo during one of our Pro Circuit series races, so now you know.
