1990 KX250 - was one of Chicken's practice bikes. It had a few trick bits and I got some race used plastics with it. Sold it to a friend about 20 years ago and was able to buy her back last year! It spent some time stored outside, but is actually in pretty good shape. Looking forward to finding some time to do a rebuild.

Been building the KX60 I bought for $700 for my 9yo who's short for age while still on a pitted out CRF50. Cylinder was wearing through the chrome so ended up swapping his CRF for the 2nd KX60 yesterday. We built a track and helped some other kids ride too. Instead of buying new bikes, a dually, and toy hauler... we rented a dozer, bought a 100hp cab/loader tractor, discs, bottom plows, and a $400 5x8 enclosed trailer. None of it financed and we are sleeping better than the Jones families in the nearby subdivision.

here's a oem price list from 1988 MXA: KX60 was $1099 in todays dollars that = 2,361.52, inflation adjusted 2018 KX65 is $3699 thats a 56% increase OVER inflation. more than doubled in price in addition to inflation costs.

Won't comment on the new bike prices , but as far as you go Mike......you sound like a cool dad with a couple awesome kid's. One of my favorite things to check out on here , are the pics of everyone's kid's doing something MX related. Not gonna lie , I get a little jealous at times , since I never had any of my own.
