indeed, but the newer people with money these days aren't blue collar..they're white collar professionals and very elitist/classist. their kids go to private schools and they make sure they aren't friends with common blue collar people, who are the fabric of this sport. the rich who are into motorsports are into road racing, shifter karts and SCCA road racing and...

the middle and lower class folk dont have the money to buy stuff they "like" anymore. they only buy stuff they need. dirtbikes aren't needed.

the decline of riding areas all around the country are whats squeezing the sport, IMO ive seen people from all over the country say the same thing.."we used to ride at such and such sandpit/tract of land/valley" and it got turned into houses or .gov stepped in america isnt the country it used to be, that's for sure

hes a talking piece for the corporate side of the business and is completely out of touch with the average motocross rider/racer when he actually tode (late 80s and 90s) the sport was still affordable and not a rich mans game like it is today he doesnt ride or have a family so he thinks its still 1991

i lived in central texas about 3 years ago and noticed that there werent very many younger kids at the tracks id go to like cycle ranch, del valle, murphys mx, etc ... i grew up in the northeast and remember going to the practice tracks and seeing lots of younger riders on 60s and 80s ....go to any track...

it seems like this guy could never catch a break..hes def got the speed to run up front and win but never seems to be able to put it together this sport is tough!

no offense but OP is studying mechanical engineering, not kiniselogy which is a pretty watered down science degree, IMO. i knew lots of kids who were damn sharp that struggled with this major (m.e ..in fact all engineering degrees are pretty tough from what i hear) OP truly needs to decide if he really wants to be an engineer and...

if you're a genius you can probably balance the two most likely you aren't and you'll either spend your whole life studying to get a M.E degree or drop out and switch to business not trying to be a dick but are you sure you're smart enough to get a mechanical engineering degree? most of the "moto" people i've met...

eh..everyone wants to be like the guys on TV so good tracks have to have SX type jobs...not gonna lie I am quite fond of tracks with supercross style jumps as they are alot of fun but i still like outdoorsy tracks
