These people really have no actual info other than their media source of choice. I've been to China, and I've witnessed first hand their commitment to catching up to the rest of the world on environmental issues. They just started really far behind, and the issues are complex. The mis-information campaigns really make me laugh. Some people on this board...

China cares deeply about their environment. They know pollution is a major problem, and that can be converted quite easily into money wasted. It makes sense financially to care about human health, that's why the MARKET is dictating this. It's not being pushed.
Finally someone sensible on this forum. Electricity generation will only continue to get more efficient, and EV's are already more efficient over their life. Another thing people don't realize is that it's actually pretty important to generate the emissions OUTSIDE where people live and commute. Power plants generate those emissions in more remote areas where less people breathe. Then there's...
In my personal experience it's not important to define characteristics of addiction. It exists. That's enough to know. I believe the source of the problem is the institutionalized enabling in society. Consequences don't exists for people who screw up over and over because it's believed that consequences don't work. There's the problem. Apply meaningful and appropriate consequences and the problem...
Why is it not being suggested to put Dungey in the MX3 class and Sexton in MX2? To everyone saying it makes no sense to take Sexton off his 450....you need to realize that it's even more important that our 250 rider beat all the other 250 riders rather than try to win races. It makes sense, and clearly Honda...

*orgasm* What if Villipoto brought his peanut butter and jelly with him to the first GP race of the season? For that matter, what if he brought a nutritionist with him to keep his diet familiar while traveling the world?

It has nothing to do with the type of vehicle it's in. It's about the environment the oil is in. I would argue that it's far more appropriate to use synthetic atf in a dirt bike than anything else. Dirt bikes are sharing oil for the engine components AND the transmission components. I think ATF is a better fluid because...

EPA cares about longevity. They have regulations in place for engines/vehicles to meet emissions specs for the entire "useful life" of the vehicle/engine. They also test for this by pulling stuff in from the field. Manufacturers know this so they design stuff to meet those regulations for the right amount of life.

I really wish the AMA would stop lining the VP execs' pockets and regulate the fuel better. We don't need these highly volatile fuels anymore. You're getting almost no power benefits, and it costs a fortune. Honestly, they could just use a decent premium pump gas and tell everyone "This is what you get. Tune your engines for it."

So which one are you worried about? You just contradicted yourself by arguing that there's condensation in the new oil. Did you know the particle count in new oil is high too? Usually higher than oil that has been run through the engine and filtered. Lastly, particles are particles. It doesn't matter what they are. It's the counts that matter...

This. I used to work in hydraulics a lot, and I've talked with 2 major manufacturers. One guy in particular with Eaton used to have his engine oil analyzed because the analysis was free for him. I can't remember the interval we went, but it was insane how long he would go between oil changes in his personal vehicle. Please...
