With that said, I am all for electric on the moto side and the performance of Teslas is very commendable.....but pretending they are saving the environment and/or will save money over cost of gas is ridiculous. The cost of electricity, charges, supercharges.....and mostly the cost of the car themselves outweigh any savings. What I don't understand is why Hybrids aren't deemed as "cool" or environmental. Imagine a Tesla with a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder on board that could charge as needed or be turned off completely for city driving when it is not required for longer distances? On longer trips, it could run for an hour so to get the battery topped off and would be far more efficient than stopping for an hour at a supercharger, would cost less, and burn very little fuel.
No personal vehicles are considered particularly environmental.

I'm getting impatient. Where is this thing? Can someone in the UK go hide in the bushes and snap some pics?

My wife's van is a hybrid toyota sienna and the thing is absolutely awesome for a minivan and gets 34 mpg highway or city, and costs just as much as a comparable vehicle from the other manufacturers.

Back on the point of the topic, I hope triumph cam release some photos and video by the end of the summer, with the word of Ricky going to test it maybe there will be a promo featuring him. Triumph is a bigger company with better fundentals than the side project Buell.

On one hand you have "Triumph, a large motorcycle brand with years of experience"

The other hand you have "sTaRk vArG, started from nothing, is still nothing, promises the world"
Thanks for the downvotes guys. Even though my statement isn't wrong...a lot of sTaRk vArG fanboys in here appartently.

These posts made me do some research and you're right there is just no way. I'm reading a normal car charger uses 7200w of power. I hope I'm misunderstanding the article cause id not we really do have a long way to go. At one point my electric was $0.42 kWh, that means a 10hrs charge overnight to have a full battery in the morning would cost me $30.25 in electric, might as well pass that $5 a gallon gas over here at that point. Pay less, don't have to buy a new car, instantly refill with gas on a road trip, and I can actually fix it myself. Electric future ain't looking so hot to me, at least for cars. I'm down with the electric bikes.

Standard Tesla model 3 battery has a usable capacity of 40kWh, so a full charge would cost about $17 at your rate. My power is less than $.15 per kWh so that's about $6, or a gallon and a half of gas. Of course budget about $1500-$2k for a charger install so that stings haha.

You're not getting accurate data from your news source. Electric is going to take over specifically because it's cheaper overall on humanity.

Cool to hear it confirmed officially, straight from the horses mouth, that Ricky has indeed ridden a Triumph MX bike.

Grabbing the old thread...

Did I miss something?  Is there anything to the Evan Ferry to Triumph rumor??  Signed for 250 next year?  Hot air?

I stopped into my local Triumph dealer a couple weeks ago to try and get some info on the mx bikes. They were definitely tight lipped on a lot of what they did know and still in the dark about a lot of details as well but one thing i took away from the convo is that it sounds like there is a good chance it will have KYB suspension on it...

i live 2 miles from the factory , and know people that work there and its crickets.

Fair play to them for keeping it under wraps.

Info on the bike has been remarkably well protected...  You would think a few "sneak peeks" would have made it out by now.  Even purposely to generate hype.

They're not tight lipped, rank and file dealer employee will be just guessing.

Well they told me they had an event in August where they went down to Georgia, went through some trainings and saw a bike... so to me, not giving any information on he bike they saw in person = tight lipped.

My local Yamaha Dealer also is a Big Triumph Dealership as well.

I will say their line of Sport & Touring Bikes look excellent & very nice, even next to the Yamaha Line.

other than that, it’s a time will tell thing & every Race car hits the wall I always say, & they will too, as the others before them, but in these modern times of engineering & computer modeling & the processes that go with that, they may prove to be better Rookies than those before, yet that wall will still be hit as it’s an unavoidable part of the development process.
