As promised: KOVE throws the door to MXGP wide open A new Chinese manufacturer entering the MXGP paddock is news in itself. But from 2027 onwards, KOVE is taking things a step further. Instead of gaining experience in the lower EMX classes, the manufacturer has opted to take on the toughest challenge straight away: MXGP. With two factory riders, its own team and the ambition to establish itself among the established names in the class. The man leading the project is no stranger to the international motocross scene. Belgian Tom Steensels will take on the role of team manager, facing...

Now with Kove, which inevitably means ZXMoto as well (the founder also helped found Kove and there definitely seems to be some beef so seems like he wants to beat them at their own game... and I have to say their bikes look really good), and now JHL entering MXGP that has to put the participating number of manufacturers list at an all-time high. Honda Kawasaki KTM/Husky Suzuki Yamaha Ducati TM Triumph Kove JHL (at least for MXGP of China... maybe more for 2027) ZX Moto?? Love to see the growth in this sport. Now if they can come around...

They're using 7075-T6 on these, which is great for strength, but not so hot for stress corrosion cracking or mitigating crack propagation. Those aren't huge concerns, so long as: A. They don't machine in large stress risers, like the sharp internal corners exactly where this broke, and B. They don't create feather thin features for a crack to easily initiate, like they did, also where the part broke, and C. They don't laser etch their logo to act as yet another stress riser, opposite the earlier mentioned stress risers, again, right where this broke, and D. The material actually is...

Aluminum has no business being involved in a foot peg or bracket, I don’t care who/where it’s made.

https://www.nicecnc.com/products/foot-peg-offset-lowering-mount-bracket… That sucks! Thanks for the warning. I used Nice CNC pegs before, they were fine, I checked and the pegs don't have this warning like your mounts. Seems crazy they would sell these for a motocross bike knowing they would snap.

And then we complain when our tracks get shut down for noise. I miss the 80s and 90s.. dB Snorkels used to be very popular for two strokes. Less sound = more ground. It's a different world we live in today.

We have electronic suspension already (for the fork at least) through Dal Soggio's NXTRAX kit. I got to see it first hand on Clayton Gerstners beta at the Scot Harden Idaho ride, I cant believe people aren't talking about it more! The thing I want to see chassis development wise are reach and angle adjustable headsets/headtubes like the mtb industry. This is the single biggest change I think mfg's can make to have their bikes fit a wider range of people comfortably and I know I would personally benefit from like another degree and a half of angle on my...

Well, Japan doesn't seem really interested in making these 2t bikes any longer. Yamaha yes, Kawi (barely), the rest...nope. So, somebnody else will fill the niche. Good on China.

https://www.visordown.com/features/zxmoto-makes-its-european-debut Founder: Zhang Xue ZXMOTO seems to be alert to this sort of scepticism. To this end, at his EICMA presentation Zhang addressed something you don’t often hear much about from Chinese manufacturers: after-sales. “We have learned that not everyone is happy with the efficiency of aftersales service,” he said. “So, we have come up with a five-point plan.” That plan includes: A Europe-based parts warehouse that can deliver to European dealers within three days. No more waiting a fortnight for an alternator to show up. Ensuring that dealers keep a good stock of common spare parts, such as brake...

Zxmoto is the first chinese bikes where the plastics arent just a copy of ktm or look like shit like kove. The zxmoto looks like something honda would put out if it was red, it looks great and it has its own distinct look. Their sport bikes look great too. The founder from what ive seen is absolutely obsessed with racing and with creating great bikes with the best customer service in the game. This company looks legit. Cant wait to see them in mxgp then hopefully in ama. Theyre already getting wins in the supersport world championship their first...

We hear that concern a lot, but there are many dealers like Get Dirty Dirt Bikes that will ship you parts right away. https://www.getdirtydirtbikes.com/ Parts aren’t an issue like most people think, just can’t use the usual Rocky Mountain etc. for OEM parts
