It's the same thing as the kove 250 just some slight changes. 

Why are you under the impression that their test riders and team members will cash in? 

It says it retails in china for $4,400 bucks.

In China, the MX250 carries a price tag equivalent to only $4380. While transport, taxes and tariffs would make it much more expensive than that if it were to reach US shores, there should still be scope to undercut rival models that tend to be priced north of $8000. The closest indication of the final cost is probably the closely related Kove MX250, which appears to share an identical engine and a very similar frame, and costs $6999 in the USA.

I've been following Kove for years and the story of the brand and founder is really interesting. It's run by a guy who is really passionate about racing and seems to care a lot about quality. If you look up how they've handled issues with defects in the past it's almost unheard of.

Combine that with China's manufacturing prowess and ability to undercut other markets on price, I'm really hyped on the future of this brand

It's sold for the equivalent of 7500$ in Great Britain.

ZXmoto will go places. They are arguably already at the level of Kove and CFmoto, and that isn't a low bar despite what Vitards will have you believe. 

Keep an eye on QJ too.

I saw Kove has had rebates of $500 - $3K on their rally bikes. They   And low or 0%  interest loans on the current bikes. 

The current 450 Pro rally bike retails at $9499.00   they had the rebate for $3 k off of it on in stock 2024 models $6499.00 sounds like a great price on one. 

 I know this thread is not about Kove. But if You look at the US site VS canada site . The 250 has a different engine and they are calling it the second generation. It comes in Red or white.  On the website the white model has a different engine than the  red one.  It its clearly 2 different engines.  And then the US version looks different too.  Maybe the white verion is a version 1? the engine looks similar but hase differnt mounts and  exhaust.

And then the teal one is the one shown on the Kove international site and US site

Zxmoto is the first chinese bikes where the plastics arent just a copy of ktm or look like shit like kove. The zxmoto looks like something honda would put out if it was red, it looks great and it has its own distinct look. Their sport bikes look great too. The founder from what ive seen is absolutely obsessed with racing and with creating great bikes with the best customer service in the game. This company looks legit. Cant wait to see them in mxgp then hopefully in ama. 

Theyre already getting wins in the supersport world championship their first year of competing, these guys arent playing.

After looking at the Kove and ZXmoto together, the engine looks  a lot alike from what I can see in the photos. I wonder if they are the  same or how much they share? The frames are slightly different.  But the engine in the US KOVE 250 and the ZXmoto250 look like the same thing the pipe looks near identical. Some different color paints and the pipe guard is different and the motor mounts at the frame are not the same.  Looks like the design of the engine could be the same . With so much lining up when You compare the two bikes.  

The Canadian Kove has its oil filler in a different spot. and I think that the white bike they show is a rendering after I looked closer.  And the engine is different in the gen 2 bikes shown on the Canadian website .   

WIth some discounts like the rebates, these could be really cheap . If they are relatively reliable and last well, it will be great. Even if the suspension is not as nice or  the wheels might not hold up to a faster rider. It could be a great beginner race bike.  If either brand is able to grow a customer base, I bet they will come out with bikes that are on par or better performing than the current popular options are, and still cost less.  It may take 5 or more years, but I think it will happen if the consumer and tariffs  allow it to.

I know its a big world out there…and its hard to avoid buying from china with every day purchases….but ..no way in hell I”m willingly buying a bike made in china, not because I think it will be inferior but more based off their propensities to steal trade secrets and avoid existing patents…..China needs to start playing by the same rules as everyone else in a global market…for me anyway…

Yea the way they came out in supersport these guys arent planning on messing around for a few years, theyre coming out the gate with competitive bikes and looking to win immediately. It honestly would be nice to have some bikes that are much cheaper and not as good for beginners to get into the mx side of the sport, but thats not gonna be zxmoto from the look of things. 

That could also mean a decent base to work off of. And   production bikes  that might not be the best to start with.  But race bikes that are on par. If they can make a reliable bike  that's decent as a stock bike. But maybe the suspensions not the best and the wheels are not on par, or cheaper tires, etc.  And then the Teams race bikes would have modified engines, and kit suspension anyway.  They could have good race bikes and ok production bikes for a little bit.  

 The engine on the 250 looks like its identical to the Kove. He was one of the cofounders of Kove though right? Maybe he has some deal to use the same engine? That Kove that they call the second generation version has a different engine . I wonder  what the details of the engine are. I have service manuals for the Kove. I thought I had seen them for the ZXmoto too but I can not find them now. I was going to look at the engine info and see how similar it is inside.  The GPX bikes have used old Yamaha engine designs or elements from them. expired patents . 

  I think it will be interesting to watch and see how a chinese t factor goes racing when they want to win.  I wonder if it will be like KTM throwing a ton of money at it failing early on with Mcgrath, or like when they got Dungey and threw even more money at a decent bike? Or  if they will be more like what we have seen from Triumph and Ducati  with how their programs have been run. Having good riders, but not riders that can win a title right away. 

 Imagine what would happen if ZXmoto signed Chase Sexton and they went out and won! It would blow people's minds, I know it would blow mine!

ZXMoto has won in World Supersport and is in the hunt for the title

It's astonishing how much money and resources go into designing (whether they're copies or not), developing, and manufacturing this many models, and launching them onto the market without knowing how many units will be sold, what their actual market share will be, or if all that initial investment will be recouped... I imagine not, but maybe it doesn't matter...

ZXmoto was funded in 2024, in 2025 they sold 25k bikes, which is amazing in such a short timeframe. They're aiming for 60k bikes in 2026. To put things into context, Ducati sold 50k bikes last year.

Might be his only option if he keeps finishing outside the top 15

Yeah I looked on their site but only saw the offer for a select number or Supersport trackdays in Europe. I’ll keep an eye out when they come to the US!
