I think it gets really gimmicky with the points doubling and tripling at each round, and the name is dumb as fuck.

Why would Eddie ask if his own kid was sandbagging? Or do you have trouble reading?

They want you to come to the store so they can pressure you to buy. It has nothing to do with comparing prices.

It's kinda ironic what's perceived as cheating/unfair - in what world does a 70 pound rider have any chance against a 40 pound rider on such a low power bike? If this class is seen as important enough to cheat for, maybe some kind of ballast is needed to make it fairer? Or was the 70 pounder sandbagging?

If you think it's a 1 sided discussion, why not share the other side of the story? Rich appears to have a lot of support in the media because they are taking money from him for advertising!

I refuse to believe anyone can think the way you do on this matter. It’s such a bad take. Not worth arguing with you over.

I've been as diplomatic and courteous as I can be, because as at times you've seemed reasonable. But your calm responses are no longer hiding your complete inability to listen and acknowledge any opinion other than your own. This last and lengthy post is a perfect example of taking "you're all wrong and I'm right" and expanding it into multiple paragraphs. Each one of your points has legitimate evidence to shoot it down. Rich's own statement contradicts some of your main points. If all you see is the negative, and can't wrap your brain around us (as in nearly everyone...

You guys remember when RC threatened to quite Supercross? Is that video floating around anywhere? "Ricky Carmichael found out his fuel had too much lead in it from the San Diego race and was docked 25 pts. Before Atlanta, Carmichael and Suzuki held a press conference in which Carmichael threatened to quit the Supercross season and come back at Hangtown if the AMA didn't revise his penalty. Carmichael won Atlanta -- his 4th win of 2006 -- and pleaded his case to pit reporter Krista Voda as well. While the AMA's ruling was consistent with the fuel infraction, they succumbed...

I don't get the people who say his is just how it goes in a work setting. Are you also in favor of DEI? We should be upset that the guy who does the best job and works the hardest is getting screwed over by favoritism, by two guys who did an observably worse job at broadcasting, to the point where he had to quit because the frustration was no longer worth doing the job in whatever reduced capacity it was. And furthermore we should be angry this is happening in OUR sport, our tightknit little community. And we too...

It’s probably more so, he gets hounded about why he left the broadcast on a daily/weekly basis. Look at how obsessed people are with how ‘bad’ the broadcast is, and most people loved him. So obviously he’s going to get it consistently. Everytime he is a guest on Pulp etc he gets hammered with questions about it. He’s finally just gone F@ck it, here is the reason, time to move on. There has been so much speculation about it, especially here. Most of the reasons are found out to be true, so obviously it’s going to get hammered to death...

The outside won't take the sport seriously until we take it seriously. Having someone unfit for lawnmower racing announce the sport is a bad look. NBC patronizing ppl is a bad look. F1 got popular with the uninitiated because of the vibe and the scene, not because they explained what the colors on the tires meant ad nauseum. People flock towards exclusivity sophistication and indifference.

You know what's cool about Joe Cool (Montana), he quit. Arguably the best quarterback of all-time, tried his hand at broadcasting (1995) and was abysmal. Hell, even in his first year, NBC (ironic) paved the way for him to call the Super Bowl. In his first year(knowing he was abysmal)!! Get this, he quit working as an analyst during Super Bowl XXX at halftime! He wasn't a fan of the On-Air experience, never quite got comfortable or confident. Generally, athletes who are widely regarded as the greatest ever aren't very good broadcasters. They have too high a lens to look at...

What's clear is there is no "moto-media". As ML said, he does many different jobs and is friends with people he has to report on - this is not journalism. Moto is just too small and insular to have a real media, nothing wrong with that. Just wish people were as open as ML is about it. "He's my friend...

To start: I have a lot of respect to Michael Lindsey. Super intelligent. Can't question his motivation ever. Started a freaking race team. 99.9% always has the correct take. Answers intelligent questions on this forum and is undoubtedly popular and is an irreplaceable asset. ML is pro "free speech" and does not censor fair criticism here. We know his predecessor's censorship was North Korean dictator level and you would not be reading half of what you read here if it were up to him. He is no longer a journalist in the sport either. ML is respectfully addressing my fair...

There is enormous engagement on this topic on vital and on you tube today. There is enormous fan interest, conviction and support in Daniel Blair. Say what you want about "vitards" and vital forum, but when something is truly controversial occurs, the full time media goes....silent. I think this silence does a disservice to Blair's side. Vital Forum...the common man, 9-5 construction workers and insurance salesmen. What are the full time salaried media members doing at Racer X, Motocross Action, Pulp MX, TransWorld Motocross, VITAL? 18 months. Zero long form articles. Zero interviews of the players. Perfect example why you're insufferable lol. One of the guys IN THE VIDEO has now publicly confirmed it was NOT ball busting, and you still think your opinion matters and then try to pre-deflect with your disingenuous attempt at self-deprecation.

I think the point he’s trying to make is we will get DBs side of the story but no media will touch this with a 10 foot pole to dig into the story and get comments from others. Plus you know the “pulp media” empire (along with Racer X) can’t touch it as both Weege and JT would jeopardize their spots on the broadcast team.

let's see, we have a member of our moto-media publicly calling out some of the biggest names in our sport (RC). The fanbase overwhelming wants DB's participation in the broadcast, so of course not a single member of the moto-media reaches out to any of the involved parties to run any sort of article/expose on the situation, like "normal" media might. Yeah, this all checks out.
