SX tour round 4 is on. Motoverte said Tonus would ride the Varg in SX1 but for some reason he's not? It's Thomas Do second event on the Varg in SX2 (limited to 48 hp), he qualified with the 2nd time (would have been 6th time in SX1, not bad). He finished 3rd in his semi-finale, awaiting the main race.

How did a thread about Stark E Bikes end up talking about ordering piston kits? lol

Don't plan on buying one even if I was interested I would not go first year on a start up company I don't even do that with established manufacturers. Their business practices are a little off-putting long delays and apparently little communication with paying customers. Doesn't seem like they can get bikes off the assembly line yet not sure how long it will be until the profitable. Hope you enjoy your bike if you ever get it and I hope they're around long enough for you to get your spare parts nothing wrong with having another manufacturer in this sport👍

I've had good luck with Stark with the exception of the initial wait, placed the order on 12-14-21 and received it 7-21-23. They called mid/late June to confirm I still wanted it and they sent me an invoice. A week or so went by then received a shipment notification with a tracking number. Another week or two later I received a call from the shipping company letting me know it was in Los Angeles and we scheduled the delivery. Placed multiple spare parts orders that have delivered since including a LHRB. Customer service has been really helpful, I asked for...

Yes. There was a brand new at our local track in Bellingham WA last night. Local vet B rider, picked it up at dealer in Lynwood yesterday morning and raced it last night. He had no time to figure out any of the settings, just unloaded it, hit practice then raced it for 3 moto's. By the 2nd moto he had it looking pretty good. This rider is not an influencer, pro or celebrity, he's a 50+ year old normal local dude who races MX and off road normally on a KTM 2 stroke, (which he raced his 4th moto...

Yes, paid in full. I received an email a couple months ago stating that the bike was ready to go into production soon, and that I needed to finish my payment. Once payment was completed I had someone from Stark call me to confirm, and now I’m just waiting for the shipping confirmation. He mentioned that they were likely about a month behind my original ship date, but part of that was my fault because I waited about a week to make my full payment. I understand the frustration, their system isn’t the best and I’ve been a bit frustrated...

If you want to see a bit of the SX tour here is the vid from the last round, at the 15:45 mark you can even catch a glimpse of the Varg during the SX2 finale. Tomorrow it's round 4, we'll see if Thomas Do can improve on his 6th place and the Varg will be racing in SX1 for...

For a brand new brand out of the crate to have power, suspension and handling so competitive certainly is impressive. SX is extremely challenging to even be in the ball park on handling and suspension. And You can bet all the other manufacturers are keeping a very close eye on this to see if they are going to make improvements to stay competitive on a race track.

The Varg was set at 48 hp, so it was amputated from 40% of its power to race in SX2. Power wise it was on par with the 250s it was racing against while being 20 kg heavier. Still got very good starts (including holeshot in the finale), 6th for its first event in SX is not a bad racing...

Thomas Do scored a 6th place finish in the finale, 29 s from winner Maxime Desprey after a 13 laps - 10 min race. I am sure the 31 laps he did tonight will be very useful for him for the next rounds and extremely valuable for Stark to improve the bike and better understand its limits. Competition improves the...

So about this SX tour round tonight, in SX2 Do got the best time of his heat and 4th best time overall, then placed 4th in his semi-finale. He's qualified for the finale, still not sure what hp he's running but we'll get more information thanks to motoverte. And I want to see the Varg next week in SX1 racing...

That's 938Nm torque at the rear wheel, which is similar to a 450f's rear wheel torque in 1st gear, torque is constant until you hit the power limit, then it's constant power and decreasing torque...

Yep, about 20 times the torque of a 450 ! That's why you need to precise with the throttle, and also why you don't need the clutch to pop a wheelie.

Australia : CRF 450R 14 000 A$ (8 300 €) - Stark 19 600 A$ (11 600€) that is a steep +40% but the Honda is dirt cheap ! Europe (France) : CRF 450 10 500 € - Stark 13 900€ that is +32% That's comparing for the 80 HP version obviously vastly more powerful but the Stark is massively...

Great interview, they are being quite clever about it: Let's see how it goes while not ranking, then we will decide regulations accordingly to ensure as much fairness as possible. The answer may be a cap on hp, or another technical solution or maybe even separated category. They are being clever about it and are not in a rush. Obviously...

Translated French interview with Sébastien Poirier, the president of the FFM. Following Thomas Do's presence on a Stark Varg this weekend at the SX Tour, many questions were raised from riders, managers and spectators. In order to better understand this great first in France, we asked the right questions to the president of the FFM Sébastien Poirier. Future of electric? Power control? Sporting equity? Possible association of the two technologies in the race? Here are the answers ! President, how is the arrival of electric cars perceived in competition? “ We have been working on the electric motorcycle for years...

Translated French interview with Thomas Do. Engaged in SX2 this weekend in Saint Georges de Montaigu on the handlebars of a Stark Varg, Thomas Do will carry out the first Supercross tests in official competition of the electric machine. His presence is conditioned by a race without bonus or points in the classification. It will be the same case for Arnaud Tonus in SX1 at Brienon riding the Stark Varg. Thomas, you were engaged in SX1 with Yamaha. Why this choice to ride in Stark Varg in SX2 on the SX Tour? “I think we are entering a new era...
