He surprised me this morning by having this 2022 YZ250 shipped to my house. I’ve never gotten a free bike before. Just loaners I had to buy/sell/give back at the end of the season/year. Pretty cool of him.

My current bike is a 2020 ktm 150sx. My bike prior to the 150 was a 2018 yz 125. The ktm 150 is much more powerful than the yz125 but it is also a lot more work to go fast on.. It gets old hearing about the yamaha's outdated chassis and how the ktm is much more modern and competitive. The ONLY thing I like more about the 150 vs. the yz125 is the amount of power. Every other area I prefer the yamaha . The yz corners better , the yz suspension is light years better ,the yz power...

It's always funny stuff reading MX people talking down the physical aspect of riding a MotoGP bike. It's our version of the average Joe on the street that doesn't understand MX at all and asks if it isn't just about sitting down and turning the throttle?

I was fortunate enough to move from NY at 18 years old and work in the industry in So Cal for some years when I was younger. While I was out there might of been 2004 or 2005 Cycle News had rented out Cahuilla Creek for an industry ride day and I made the trip from Oceanside to ride with some buddys who were going. I'm out there doing my thing spinning laps when I hear a mini bike quickly come up behind me revved right out on the gas...before I could even blink this little shit blows me out...

I thought It’d be fun to share my story and maybe inspire younger enthusiasts to start a side hustle to fund their moto journey. Like anyone who started riding motorcycles at an early age, the passion consumed me.
