The privateer works hard and spends money to race, if he makes the main show he deserves a point, it allows him to be seen in the record books, and canvas potention sponsors. At the end of the long season he could have 30 points, which show his commitment to the sport. All which helps the sport.

5/13/2024 10:43am Not sure where that 20+ seconds a lap statistic comes from. Pretty much every race last year, the 450 guys had to be within 10 seconds of P1 in qualifying just to make the gate.

5/13/2024 10:24am That changes nothing. Right now there is no incentive to put on a late charge if you go down and can’t possibly make 20+ passes. If they had a 50pt system and awarded points to all who qualified, riders would charge for the entire moto regardless of position.

4/19/2024 10:23am Keep an eye out for privateers looking for a little help on weekends. I have seen plenty of them looking for a “mechanic” to help them at the gate during race day. Does not help much for a party of 10, but it isn’t a bad way to view a race.

I really dislike the age/point out rule in any 250 racing. As a tallish but skinny dude I'm never going to have the physicality to throw around a 450 so I know first hand that if I raced at any level I'd want to do it on a 250, be that 4 or 2 stroke. MXGP aging out at 23 is even worse, not everyone gets to start riding at 4 years old. Or people might finish school before racing support classes full time, with the age rule you're punishing that by forcing them into 450s before they really have...

3/26/2024 4:42pm I wholeheartedly agree with that. Having a son in the sport for 20+ years I have lost count of the amount of heavy duty pain meds (even as a 7-8 year old) doctors have pushed in our direction. I thank God every day that my son HATES them all and never wanted to take them.

A rape victim he never met and stated she was wearing an outfit that wasn't produced until years later. Yeah, nothing fishy going on here. Before his death Hitler was charged with 7 crimes. Trump has been charged with 91 crimes. I wonder if it is politically motivated. My general rule of thumb if you are charged with 1-10 crimes you're probably a piece of shit. If you are charged with 90+ crimes it's a witch hunt.
