Ireland has had no motocross racing for over a year due to the lack of available insurance, and I think they have single-payer
The ama does have pretty good event insurance.
It has been awhile since i have done events, but when i did their coverage was often cheaper.
I think they were the first to offer adjusted premiums based on rider turnout too.
And the big advantage was that you did not have to spend a day doing track, fence, and pit area drawings and take a hundred pictures.
I do not think that they offer any annual or monthly coverage for practice facilities.
And as bad as this whole lacr deal has been with the lawsuit, consider that the insurance companies are now cracking down on pit bikes
Wonder way?
Could it be because either there has been litigation or someone from the insurance have seen the absolute stupidity of careless people that completely ignore attempts to get them under control. Those same idiots then bitch because they can"t ride at all. An example would be the posts in the thread concerning pit bikes being banned at iron man.
How is it that RT is the jerk, but so many let all these other people slide, ignoring the problems they cause.
Soon it will be side by sides, and instead of the operators being sued it will be the tracks because they didnt get them under control, and they are assholes if they do control them.
Amazes me sometimes that track operators work so hard to stay in the business.
That’s not the first track Taylor had a hand in getting shut down……
How about making a "release of liability waiver" mean something. We all know what we're doing is dangerous and when you sign the damn thing....

The AMA is all we have, maybe supporting them might help them help us. I'll bet you spend more on coffee in a month than the cost of an AMA membership.
Really? Which other track?
not sure how many are aware of Alpinestars using EKS brand goggles mold for the supertech goggles, which were designed by Rich Taylor / EKS brand and was promoted on PulpMX when Astars were preparing to release them a year or so ago.... If you're gonna speak with your wallet, don't buy the goggles that are branded under a well known company.

Seems fair for a single rider but understand that numbers start stacking up when you have a couple kids too. Track fees become a limiting expense.
In my small little brain it seems that we should be able to ride a bike everyday in the hills behind the house. Tracks and racing should be so affordable that we could do it every week and eat steak dinners.
Taking kids to the track may be a thing of the past if one of the possibble changes to getting insurance for a track comes into play where you must be 18 to be able to ride.
I'm an NRA member because my range requires it but they don't really do shit for the cause. Well, they are a target for the anti 2a crowd to focus on but the GOA, 2AF, FPC and NAGR are doing all the heavy lifting. NRA is all about fund raising to keep the suits in their high dollar jobs. The firearms community doesn't really need them.
That is the old goggle. The new one isn’t EKS…says spooner (I think)
The Supertech from Alpinestars is their own model.

That is what I was looking for. Thanks Mav
Thanks for clarifying, not trying to throw anyone who isn't involved to the vital pitchfork mob.
By reading this comment I am going to assume that you are (a) VERY young (b) indoctrinated by our illustrious education system. That said, I am sure you are too young to remember the Canadian 50cc rider that was seriously injured in Michigan (20 years ago or so). His life-saving treatment was received in the USA. Upon returning home, Canadian doctors deemed that he would never regain his ability to speak. Long story short, he had to return to the US to have his larynx reconstructed (with the help of Vital and the rest of the MX community) Single payer healthcare has very serious drawbacks that all of the “progressives” fail to inform you about.
Ironic how everyone calls for boycotting EKS on a forum sponsored by them.
It's ironic for Eks Brand since they are giving money to a forum that trashes them.
