Red Bull KTM by far makes the most sense after Eli's late departure, at least IMO.

That would make sense as who else do they have on a 450, would give LCoenen a bit breathing space without the pressure of needing to come back before being FULLY fit

Who else do they have on a 450? Ever hear of a guy named Jorge Prado?

Jorge is great, came on real strong on MX this year.  He still isn’t a proven SX guy though. I’m not shitting on him, he just wasn’t there yet. It’s a tough discipline especially when you did not grow up riding it. Chase could go back to KTM and bring them a proven SX winner. I know he comes with a ton of baggage, only arguing the SX wins vs no wins.

The only thing about KTM is I would doubt Sexton would sign a one year contract so that would assume that Prado, Coenen and Sexton would all be there for 2028?  That's a lot of payroll for a company trying to dig their way out.  Stranger things have happened I guess.

I think that corporate KTM has already been ‘dug out’ after the Bajaj takeover.

KTM was prepared to be paying Tomac, Prado, and Coenen on 450s until Tomac announced his retirement late in the year. Adding Sexton’s salary is something that wouldn’t be a massive shock for the team, you’d think.

Not predicting that he goes to KTM, but the possibility of KTM affording him isn’t exactly far fetched.

Jorge hit his stride in the SMX finals, which is mostly Supercross.

I suspect he'll be close to the front in Sx 2027.

I agree and you can’t even do the whole “but there’s no whoops” because as unexpected as it was the whoops were probably Prado’s biggest strength this past season. Outside of starts, of course.

Said it since the beginning, going to stick to it because it’s just as likely/unlikely as any other scenario.

Wonder what happened?  They seemed to get along great on the pulp shows and when she was announcing and then all of the sudden she is back in England and pregnant?

There's no indication he's desperate to get on a Honda though. I think it's more likely he would take the factory team option.
