Fifth overall is pretty damn good considering Levi was the only guy on the team who had more than a week on his bike. Coop definitely pulled his weight, and Juju did really well for being thrown straight into the deep end.

I’d love to say Coop overachieved, but I think what happened is he simply outperformed expectations of many.

It was an epic performance, considering all of the factors involved in getting there.

He totally lived up to the Captain America status.

Fellow NC native and resident here.  It has been a satisfying day watching Coop represent his country and state in such a gritty manner and effort.  He set an example of what stepping up and representing means and should look like.  I hope that lesson is not lost on future Team USA prospects.

Am I correct in assuming that this was Coop’s “Last Outdoor Race”?!

He just buttoned up his last Outdoor AMA Motocross Season…right?

And..how much time did he have on that Husky? 😎

The dude is a True Bad Ass.

It would appear so. But if he got the call to race des Nations again...I have a feeling he'd say yes.

Coop rode amazing – to show that kinda of pace and dog on a new bike, man he should probably reconsider dropping MX from his schedule.

Coop was the seasoned vet of the team, though he is not a heavyweight in the outdoors on a 450. His title was on a 250, helped by good luck for him and bad luck for a superbly talented Jeremy Martin in 2016. In Ernée he pushed and drove, did not give up nor lose focus for an instant. He dogged serious Euro 450 talent, as well as held off serious talent bent (unsuccessfully) on passing him. His fight against Hunta in SX last year was incredible, a battle of fitness, skill, talent and persistence, not to forget battles of the mind and emotion, intimidation chess. This fight in Ernée was comparably impressive, showed us his depth.

Oh, SO COOL!

Paul gets it.

He rode his ass off and then goes around showing sportsmanship.

My new favorite rider.

I saw a post and photo showing Ian Harrison there assisting Cooper's very experinced but new to the Husky crew get his bike set up.

With Coop bringing Rich Simmons, Alex Campbell and Austin Kent from Star Racing with him to Team Tedder Husquvarna, I believe it's going to be a very good year ahead for him.

With Eli finished, I'm fully on the Webb Wagon for the next two years.

Coop went out in style.  He’ll look back and be proud the rest of his life.

Those fine young men showed some real heart. Answered the call without question. For 2 out of 3  show up on really unfamiliar equipment is real "Danger Boy" shit.

They all did great, Webb especially. It's nice to see Webb enter the final years of his career and embrace it more and lose a little bit of his ego. I can see him stepping into the Team USA manager at some point in the future.

Coop did all 17 rounds of SX, 11 rounds of MX, 3 rounds of SMX, and MXoN?

I think he deserves a break.  Outstanding season, CW2.

One round of WSX as well. He is also racing this weekend.

Cooper elevated himself to hero in this race in the world of motorcycle racing. To Star Yamaha, Kawasaki America, and the Deegans, you will all be just another MX racer no matter what you do in the states.

The trolls from last year have been real quiet. Webb will always be that dude. I’ve never counted him out, and when he’s feeling it, he’s an assassin.

For sure he’s a beast! In front should definitely be paying out some profit sharing to the teams/riders but besides that thanks to the riders that stepped up and didn’t make an excuse to represent their country. We’re proud of you boys!

Dude 6-6 is SO good. I wouldn't have been surprised with a 15-15 considering the circumstances. I'm really wondering if he could have been any better on his Yamaha. Probably not

Credit where credit is absolutely due! I've not always been a great Webb fan...but I have never not been a fan of his aggressiveness & skill on a dirt bike. To see him step up as the lead rider for Team USA, on a brand new bike that had never seen a race of any comparable magnitude...and with what must've been immense pressure...I'm super proud of the guy. My guy was Tomac...but, now I'm calling myself a Cooper Webb fan! Good job, Coop!

Proud for and of Coop. The whole team as well. They all exemplified what love of our country and sport looks like. Hopefully it's catchy...

Good on ya Coop. Never been the biggest Coop fan but you have to respect the man. 6-6 on a brand new bike against the worlds best is impressive.
