Mookie, RJ, and AP all moving on. What's next for Aldon and particularly his link to the KTM group? I imagine he will still have Ryder D, Bennick, and Juju but no entries in the 450 class (I don't foresee Coenen bros signing up for Aldon's program).

Ryder refuses to go there.

Is his program going to remain a part of KTM racing going forward?

I think Davi taught him more than Aldon will be able to teach him.
Davi is training Ryder D now and it’s definitely taken Ryder to the next level

Or the don't take so much PED's that you can only sustain it for so long era..

Curious what the top amateur kids are getting with a trainer and what they are paying. I know what we get for BMX. We're training 6 days a week and riding 2-3 of those days. I can't say what we are paying.

Most the training facilities for kids charge $1500-$2500 a month to train 3-4 days a week.

Miss when my kid did some bmx. Was basically free compared to dirtbike racing. Practice days were $2, racing days cost $10. Think training nights were $10. He dabbled in bmx for a year or so, he just wanted to focus on motocross. Now waste way too much money

Aldon brought a different level of fitness to the sport with Ricky and the others that followed. He was way ahead of his time.

I believe the rest of the sport has caught up and is now on a similar level. I won't say he'll never train another rider to a championship again but we certainly won't see the same level of dominance his riders had for 20 years.

Why don't you think the Coenen's won't go there?

I think the structure and program of the Baker's Factory could be good for these young phenoms to harness that speed and add durability to help them stop crashing so much.

I was bummed when I heard Juju left Davi to go to Aldon, Davi was one of my favorites growing up even tho he was just a couple years older then me. I wanna see RyderD beat Juju just for that now! 😁😁

yeah i think his era has been over for a few years now.

A lot of training compounds going on and there are more ex pros running training programs.

on top of that, he took on top title contenders and really just fine tuned them. Really i think the only one he helped make any real difference was Carmichael due to his nutrition and fitness. Most of the other guys were already near their peaks

Been busy last few months, haven't followed as much. With KTM financial situation, fair to say the exclusivity agreement won't be renewed, (whenever it end?). None of the top riders in both clases are with him, not sure about Beaumer, IIRC I read he is with Millsaps.

KTM just turned a profit, all looking ok

Davi told me they only parted ways, because JuJu moved to Florida and it just didn’t make sense to keep that relationship. No hard feelings and he’s already instilled a lot of confidence in Ryder D, which is awesome. Hoping Ryder can stay healthy and ride to his potential.
Davi is good people….

Davi now trains now with a buddy of mine that was Davi’s trainer back in the day.

Pete - my bud - came from the cycling / Tri world and the two of them together are quite the combo.

Believe they’re also working with Jason Anderson currently as well.

Since Aldon is part of the KTM group corporate package, I would be surprised if the Coenen brothers aren't part of it.

RV as well.

Dungey did less work at Aldon's compared to seasons prior.

I was going to mention Zach. Aldon may have been what won him that national championship.

From 1000 miles away, Aldon seemed to really benefit the more "chubby"/thicker guys (RC, RV, Zach, Webb)...the naturally skinny/thin guys didn't benefit as much (Roczen, Stewart, Dungey, etc.).

It's been over..

Aldon is good at making road bike racers.

Coenen Brothers are not that exceptional in anything besides racing dirt bikes, they participated in a tv program "container cup" testing endurance and strength against other athletes and they ended somewhere in the middle ..the brothers are old school racers who just ride their bikes from dusk till dawn 😀 just like Herlings. To become good at riding dirt bike you have to ride dirt bike more than the others i guess 🤷

Remember when we grew up riding and racing dirtbikes and the good kids became pros? Now we have kids on 65s at facilities for a sport less than 1% can make a living at.

We can blame the guys who constantly call “let’s grow the sport”.

Yeah that’s because most riders back then weren’t really professional.  Ever wonder why the big money only goes to a few top guys?
