I like the PV design in the render looks like it covers 50% of the 3 exhaust ports.

Like every other efi bike that’s available, certainly.

I had absolutely no idea villopoto ever rode/raced a kx250. Thats a bit of lore I had never heard before. Once he explained the timeline it made sense though. The same way that stew was racing against all the 4 strokes on his 2 stroke kawi because kawi didnt have a 4 stroke yet, RV was down in amateurs at the time and in order for him to race in the 250/450 class with kawi he would have had to ride a kx250 also. I just figured he had never raced or rode a 250 or 450 until he moved up to the premier class, but apparently he did. Very cool piece of moto trivia!

Great video. It sounds great to me. A deeper tone. I wouldn’t want it to have the old 2t hit. That’s fine on a 125, but on a more powerful bike it makes it more difficult.

Mitch needs to get a works pipe and shorty silencer done for that thing asap. Definitely sounds a little choked up. And you can’t have a Kawi two stroke with out a PC pipe and silencer on it.

I watched the video several times and was able to figure out at 6900-6969 rpm, the jetting is 0.69% lean and makes the bike sounds like a total POS.  Lol, you armchair mechanics troubleshooting this bike from a Dirt Shark video are lame, probably just jealous deep down your favorite color OEM didn't launch this bike.  This thing is awesome and is going to be an epic bike!

Too bad Eli is on a KTM at the moment cause I’d like to see a 327 sequel to his Dirt Shark KX250 video he did in Cortez about 8 years ago while still on a Kawi.

He hammered that bike.

What's faster?

A 327cc two stroke with "hit"

Or

A 327cc two stroke that puts power to the ground.

"Hit" = spin = slow.  Stay with me.

"Hit" on a 327 also means fatigue.

This isnt a 125 or 250.

Who cares how fast it is, I dont want it to sound and feel like a kdx 200

PC r301 will get the sound like you want.

I doubt this is anything near a kdx.  Im sure if you test rode one and spun that throttle you would be firmly on your back.

You should’ve seen him at Budds Creek in 2003, I think it was. The MXGP. Waxed the entire open class field on a 250. I mean destroyed  them.

Ya have to admit, the video clip of him riding the older one sounded crisp!

It's almost like the japanese didn't see the austrians (and some italians, french and even spanish) making money hand-over-fist in two smokers in the meantime... so maybe the full uncut quote was "This is start of 2 stroke revolution for japanese decades of ignorance" 🤷

Prediction: aftermarket is going to love this thing cause it’s gonna be a bit of a dog in stock trim.

RV is playing a dangerous gane... You have to hold the ratio rite over the gas can until every last drop of oil trickles out or you will seize your engine. At least that's what I was told as a kid. 😁

I always pour a bit of gas into my ratio rite, slosh it around a bit and pour it into the gas can.. repeat if needed.

The amount of damping outside of the perferated inner core does not have a single bit of impact on power delivery.  The X model has a sparky built in but even thouse have next to no impact.

Like this charger going by my house.. it doesn't need to be loud to go fast but people just want everyone to look and listen to them.

As others have said changing mapping will have a huge difference in power - perhaps pipe too

I hadn’t seen anything saying the X was coming with a spark arrestor. It actually doesn’t even specify that it comes with an o-ring chain (both the 250f and 450f off road models do though). Where did you see info on the exhaust?

Side note: I see that PC is already taking back orders for pipes, silencers and spark arrestors.

Has anyone seen the Bore and Stroke of the 327 yet?

Buggered if I can find it, but, admittedly, I'm a bit of a doofus with my Internet searching - couldn't find any info on it in the Kawi site yesterday.

If they use the near std stroke of 250s : 72mm, it would be a 76mm bore to bring it to 326.67cc. That would be logical, because I really do  think a 250 will end up coming from Kawasaki.

Kawasaki hasn't announced the Bore and Stroke, but it is marked on the left side of the crankcase...

Unfortunately none of the videos or photos are higher enough resolution to read it!

you sure that's bore & stroke there? I've seen CC there frequently on most bikes, but don't remember ever seeing B&S there.

I've owned my 2006 KX250 since 2011, many years ago Wiseco offered a "Racer's Choice" piston for it, which featured a single TiN coated ring (edit: looks like you can still find them).

The last gen KX250 always barked and sounded great out of the box, back when silencers didn't have to meet any requirements and choke them up. Then you add an R304 shorty and the single ring piston, my KX sounds absolutely insane.

Too bad I don't ride it anymore :D

Any idea what oil brand they run? They cover the bottle. With injection, you can’t just use any 2-stroke oil.

Looks like Lucas oil bottle to me. Maybe belray. Normal premix should be fine in this bike because you are mixing, not a separate oil injection system.

It's a bottle of whatever the new KPO oil will be.

They list the current KPO 2-stroke oil for "youth" models and "non-current" full size two strokes and it is a semi synthetic. I'm sure the new KPO formulation for the 327 will be full synthetic.
