First, I acknowledge there is already another thread that mentions the humorous side of chain saws...and it is spot on (I can promise you everyone including the rattle snakes were annoyed)! That said, there is a very serious side of to this topic that no one has mentioned. The reason for another post to keep the two trains of thoughts separate. I understand why the manufactures (executive level - not the race teams themselves) have been pushing for sound reduction. So, we have all this effort going into testing that frustrates the mechanics, team managers and all the AMA officials...

without easy access air box. 2027 and 10000 $ I had hoped the RX version would have a 6-speed gearbox, or 5 I had hoped the RX version would have a 6-speed gearbox, or 5 semi-wide ratio transmission. they haven't even changed the tank.

SUZUKI's return to MXGP, with the support of Pro Circuit USA? I hope not. I expect a 100% factory return with a new prototype and run by an experienced Dutch or Italian team and an Akrapovic exhaust.

TM makes 1000 or 2000 bikes a year. To compete in the AMA you need 400 sold. Sherco focuses on enduro and trials. Do you prefer 6 manufacturers, with official, satellite and private teams or 9 factory teams and everything that entails? Will Triumph and Ducati survive in the future? I have more confidence with Beta.

I am not saying this to be mean. I like both these brands. But I am not sure if GasGas and Ducati will survive the next five years. GasGas linked into the KTM and Bajaj restructuring, and when brands overlap, redundancy gets leg go unless it can earn its keep. Gasgas cut the Trials team. Will MX be next? Ducati is a different story. Amazing bikes, but ownership is expensive and buyers even though they are rich, are starting to push back at those costs. Motocross might be their shot into a sustainable market if they can prove the bikes...
