If the 327 is a great success (which it will be), I wonder what new 2-stroke bike will spin off from it - 250? 125?

If Kawi sees success with the 327x, can we expect a 150ish-2T for the smaller displacement class?

People will complain it's not fast because of FI.

It would not surprise me if there are other models in the next few years.

What other displacement would make sense and have a great impact like 327? I don’t see them doing a bigger motor, but a 396, 426, 427, 454  would be cool. A 223 would give away a bit to a 250, a 243 would work good but both would be rifle references so probably not good for marketing. 199? Plain old 250?

If I was Kawasaki I would do a 125 with an easy 150 kit. That would cover a lot of classes both in woods and mx.

im so confused with Kawasaki's direction.
in 2021 they said they where going to be electric and hybrid motors only by 2035. yet its 2026, and we get a 2 stroke?
Seems like a wild pivot.

But i support it haha

A 250 would make the most sense because the engine is most likely (same as every other manufacturer) a big bore 250. Same 72mm bore/stroke as ktm, beta, sherco, etc. just need a smaller jug, piston, and head.

or gee I hate driving 2 hours to a track

Oh wait, Starks exist.
I could build a track in my backyard

but we still hate electric

I'm on board with Electric for this reason, as long as you keep dust under control you could have a track pretty much anywhere. I could see the city of Temecula having a badass moto track right in town!  I'd sure miss the excitement of IC engines if racing switched to electric though.

Most tracks close due to insurance. Have an electric bike won’t fix that.

Right, but I know of 2 tracks that closed due to noise complaints. Just cuz insurance is a problem tracks face, doesn’t mean it’s the ONLY problem they face.

Well sure. I clearly didn’t say that they all close due to insurance. Or “ONLY”. I hear a lot more about insurance issues than noise though. At least in my area.

It is odd they didn’t have RV or Axell or someone spin a couple laps on it.

It’s because the bike doesn’t exist. What everyone saw at the ranch was an advanced hologram with a soundtrack of 2 stroke noises.

So we can agree that noise thing is a solution in some instances, correct?

But damn, this thing looks better than what I think everyone expected.

An actual photo of a KX327 (not the X).

Swingarm appears to be the like the new 450, not the 250 as shown on their website. Tank is in fact white on this KX.

I just have to chime in and congratulate Kawasaki for keeping this under wraps. How they managed to produce this around all the hype and Not One Soul let it out.

Well done.

If the 327 is a great success (which it will be), I wonder what new 2-stroke bike will spin off from it - 250? 125?

I’m expecting the usual round engine sizes: a 125 and a 250, plus a 250 or 300 4 stroke, with a 6-speed gearbox. But honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with a 150 or even a 200 2 stroke. That would be pretty interesting.

The 200cc size is a sweet spot. I miss the ktm 200 motor
