I think they are a smart family/team and not sure we will ever know if something different than what they said happened.Their decisions are just one of the spoils you have when you have 2 brothers so much better than everyone else that they have guaranteed only the two of them will decide the championship.I guess they will decide who gets it.Ultimate power move really.

jett will tell the truth when he's in his 50s and nobody cares anymore. He threw the start figuring that would ice the deal for Hunter, but then he straight looked right at him in the turn then just rolled around...until he looks back, sees Hunter, and wicks up a bit to look realistic. Game over. I get why he did it and I don't really care either way, but it's plainly obvious to anyone watching. Hell, the broadcast just stood around with their jaws agape because it was so obvious no matter how they try to spin it. You KNOW JS7 was watching this knowing he probably would do the same for Malcolm in a similar spot.

This 100%

The idea that Jett wouldn't fight for this title if he physically could have, and threw it to his brother when he could have won, is delusional.    Get a grip.

Since Occam isn't a Marginalized Person, but instead a mere cis dwg, public schoolers increasingly won't either.

I just read through this entire thread, and honestly, I really regret it. I think I'm actually dumber now than before I opened this abortion.

I doubt most will get it.  The law of parsimony isn't what people here think it might be. It's the idea that all else being equal, we should not multiply assumptions beyond what is necessary.  But don't conflate less words; "Jett was hurt" with less assumptions.  Packed into the idea that Jett was too hurt to ride at a faster pace are a lot of assumptions, perhaps more so than the simple assumption that Jett let his brother by because he saw him go down and didn't want him to lose the title that way.

Lars said on the pre race show when asked by Weege that they had different individual incentives for the championship. so who knows, Hunter Could of had a NSX thrown in his championship bonus and Jett get a new tattoo. who knows. i don't care.

what narrative do you believe??
Is it that Hunter wanted the money or contract extended?? Either one is ridiculous. Its just funny the narrative changes pending on what gets shut down first.

I havent decided yet what I believe.

Seems a lot like Jett tried to give it to Hunter, and that Hunter winning would be the most profitable for the family.

What does more profitable even mean? Couple hundred grand more in win bonus for hunter? And people think the family decides to risk Jetts entire career for that? Blows my mind

It’s really sad seeing the shine being taken away from Hunter finally winning that elite title, due to the band wagon “we saw what we saw” conspiracy theorists ruining it for him.

Get a grip - the best man won. Well done Hunter!

Surprised deega only made it to p16

Track was fast and hard to make up positions

I think Deegan saved energy for moto 2 in attempt to go for the elusive moto win. The other times he fell on lap 1 he charged towards the front and didn’t have as much in the tank for moto 2. Once he fell he knew he wasn’t getting p1 obviously.

Weird look on paper and the eye test was strange as well. I wouldn't say I know for sure either way. That said they dominated all season. Hell of a year for both of them. I was happy to see Hunter win it.

Poor guy. Finishes an amazing seson and finally wins a 450 title after coming so close so many times and all people do is come up with ridiculous BS to demerit it. If Jett doesn't line up outdoors and Hunter wins damn near every moto the same people would go yEah BuT JeTt wAsnT tHeRE 😭

But we did see what we saw.

We watched something unbelievable.

So expecting everyone to just go ' yeah nothing to see here' is just unrealistic.

I agree its sad, but history tells me , every day ,  that when that weird thing that has to happen, just at the right time and place, happens, its rarely a coincidence.

I would rather Jett won than this.

As i said elsewhere, the only thing that can save them now, is for Jett to sit out SMX and let it heal, if he rocks up and wins that, i dont know what to say.

You only saw what you think you saw.
Go back, rewatch and study Jett; I guarantee you’ll see something different….if you’re open to seeing it.
If you still can’t see it, I’m sure your golden retriever will fetch your cane for you.

Me and everyone else on the planet.

We will never know the truth.

Even the unverified reports of him getting injured in the week have some credence now.

It doesnt pass the sniff test for me.

Time will tell.

With a Talus injury you can have an hour in a day where you think your ankle is done. Swollen, lack of movement very tender and almost impossible to put weight on.

However, if someone can reset your ankle joint and get the scar tissue out of the joint you can feel better and be walking normal in 15-20mins.

Or he faked the whole thing. 🙄

Contracts couldn't be made public due to Mirtle Lawsuit

You think the Lawrence's would shit all over Honda for a few hundred thousand?

They have Jetts 22 million contract + Hunters, and both will most likely stay there for 5 years, yet you still think they screw over Honda? 😂

What if Hunters bike gave up or he crash on the last laps in last moto?

Jett would have just not lined up for moto 2 if it was that important.

How disconnected from reality can people be?!

Jett did, what I knew he would do,..... plain and simple. The crash with Deegan, just made it so much more difficult to hide.

Thanks for the side by side of lap times. But I don’t see anything strange here. If you’re referring to early laps on Moto 2 being faster…look at what position they’re in. Guys in the front haul ass on the early laps and build a gap. Riders can’t turn the insane lap times when they’re buried in the pack surrounded by guys who are slower.

These laps times solidify the argument that nothing fraudulent happened. Jett didn’t wait on Hunter, he was riding injured and had consistent lap times across Moto 1. He got worked on and showed a slight improvement in Moto 2.
