My older brother has been a total piece of dogshit to me my whole life. Stealing, lying, subterfuge, career sabotage - you name it, he did it. Because of that, I've been happily estranged from him for decades now. I see the Lawrences for what they are, a family built around commitment and love, and for all you who think the sport should be bigger than love and family and it should be dog-eat-dog even if it's your brother doing the mauling? - I have no words for you except to say you should pray your actual life doesn't mirror your beliefs. If - IF - Jett did slow up to help his brother win? - well, we all know he'll never admit it because he's got bigger, more important priorities - and that, to me, is simply lovely.

I agree with everything you just wrote. But as I said in another thread, now that Hunter has a premier class championship, no more Mulligans. He's going to have to close them out on his own.

The insanity in this thread knows no bounds. The Lawrence’s have nothing to gain by fixing this. They sat in the literal perfect position. Jett over jumped the Deegen jump in practice which hurt his ankle. Then the first lap the dude tucked it under his tire and rolled it. Go back to the truck, get taped up, get a Toradol shot and he came out stronger in moto 2.

Nothing is out of the ordinary. Both were already multi millionaires, both parents are happy they have raised successful, family oriented, good individuals. Some of y’all need to get a grip on reality and not stay in fantasy land.

Bunch of goobers

Essentially we have two possibilities. Either Jett was hurt and did his best or he threw the race. You can make a strong case for he was hurt. Obvious reasons. You can make a case for he started throwing the championship at unadilla when Hunter crashed going down the hill.

There's evidence for both sides of the argument. And that's life in a nutshell. We don't have to be divided over this though like we usually are

It's all very simple to understand, guys. Jett looks up to his older brother and felt bad for all the things that have happened to him this year.

Jett wanted Hunter to win more than he wanted to win. It made him feel great that Hunter won the title. You could literally see it on Jett's face.

If you have an older brother you look up to and have plenty of 'titles' sitting on the shelf and millions of dollars, this makes a lot of sense.

I read recently the family pools together all the salary and individual sponsor $ into a trust for the bros, but they get to keep any bonuses for title wins. That being the case, either 1 of them "throwing" a race to let the other win the title is also throwing away a good chunk of play $ they earned. Neither will be hurting for $ with that trust so I would expect competitive spirit to be the driver for the title regardless of family.

Jett had third gate pick and is the best starter in the world. He came around first turn in 20th place. So, you tell me, how in the fuck does him dabbing his foot on the first lap lead to the worst start of his entire 450 career?

Dude deserves it. Puts his best foot forward season after season coming up short by 1 spot so often. There are no gimmes in motocross, who gives a f about the last round. Hunter got 6 overalls Jett got 4. Hunter was the best this summer.

Stop trying to flip the script and say we didn't see what we saw and that we have on tinfoil hats and the like.  I mean don't worry, you'll have the industry shills like Matthes to do that work for you, but we know what we saw.  We most certainly won't get an honest take from Paul Perebijnos this time around.

ML even made it a point to say almost immediately afterwards that Jett really did look hurt.  Almost as if Lindsey knew what people were thinking.  Come on, put some new batteries in those bullshit detectors you guys have been using all season when it comes to Haiden Deegan.

fair enough, I misread your comment.
But still, I'm not ready to say Jett threw the championship because he had a bad start. He had a decent jump but got squeezed by two orange bikes. Prado had the gatepick on him and was simply on the inside. Nothing he could do... He's been outside the top 10 off the start in 5 other motos this year. So like every 3rd moto this year was outside the top 10. His starts haven't been nearly as good this year as they used to be.

Bla-bla-bla...... this is what hyper social media does to a sport... and daily life. Suddenly everybody is an expert, everyone has an opinion..... and an asshole.

Bla-bla-bla..... put radios in riders' helmets like the F1 Gen Z pussies do,  let's add some more white noise so the iPhone generation can have more gossip to lose their shit over, watching the world go by through their celphones in mommy's basement...

"Fuuuuck bro-o-o-o, did you hear what Lips said to his like vlogger when he like whipped it like gnarly over that like 15-foot step-up double?? Like, radical, dude! Fuuuuuck brooooo..."

WHITE NOISE. Moron fuel.

Hahah... just fast forwarded Johnny Hoppers YouTube on yesterday...  what's wrong with people, 'fraud' and 'exposing the plan' hahaha... does it really matter, The Brothers were the fastest this season, 70points is the proof, did it really matter who won for the larger fanbase? ...next year again, will be exciting with Sexton and Coenens and a fast Prado.  ...get over it, Hunter won and now onto the 'finals' and then we'll wait for '27.

You want us to really believe Jett got 5 seconds a lap faster from moto 1 to moto 2? Because that is how his "fastest lap" changed. AFTER his "injury"....  His fastest lap in moto 1 was a 2:15 and a 2:10 in moto 2. Yea sure.. ok....

Jett saw hunter down with Deegan and pulled up. Case closed. Is that it is. No one can touch those 2 right now but that was clearly obvious.

Hunter was choking it away and little bro stepped in to save him.

No one really denies they are 1 and 2. I just think most fans of the sport dont want to see rigged races.

Looks guys, you gotta let this one slide. Hunter won, no matter what you want to theorize. If Jett felt bad and didn’t give 100% that’s something he will have to live with. It’s like Talladega Nights, good ole shake N bake with Ricky Bobby and Cal. They couldn’t go on as long as possible when Ricky never let Cal win. How many years of getting 2nd could Hunter realistically take? Hunter being behind Jett was helping Jett win those titles. Hunter never tried to take him out or do things he prob would have if it wasn’t his brother. This is a special relationship and duo that we might never see in racing again unless the Coenen bros can do something similar. If you’re mad or disappointed in the Lawrence bros, just root for Deegan or Prado or anyone else idrc but don’t be mad or disappointed in the sport/series itself. The Lawrences have consistently put themselves in contention to dictate these championships.

I do think Hunter was the better rider all Summer and I thought before MX started that he would win it. That DNF at Unadilla made it closer than it should have been. Hunter really needs to clean up those small mistakes but maybe now that the monkey is off his back of being 2nd place everytime he can ride more free. Deegan and Prado are getting better, we got the Coenen bros coming, I expect a return to form for Chase Sexton at some point AND we got Davies moving to a 450 in a couple years so it’s only going to get more difficult to win the 450 titles. The future of both classes is looking bright..oh and the women are ripping!

Hunter had a great season but if he was really the best why did Jett have to wait for him and ride like crap 1st moto at budds. But either way they both kicked ass this yr. Just wanted some honest racing for the finale. The last race of SX was an increadible, this was the opposite. Hopefully Prado and Lucas can make it more honest next yr.

If someone other than Jett was going to win if he passed Hunter, him throwing the race would make a lot more sense. I personally don't think he would lose a championship on purpose.

Same with the famous "Let Brock Bye" (McCartey misspelled two of the three words). They would not have done that if Hannah was going to win.

Well, I wrote this in another thread before the weekend and I still stand by it..

I have zero problem with Hunter winning the title, I have been a fan of him since mxdn 2017. The problem I have is Jett’s effort in this final race, and the Weege post race show did not help either. I put as much stock in to what Jett is saying there as Haidens defense in not going to France.

Hunter rode his heart out yesterday just like we all knew he would, I just think that Jett had a mental brakedown and was not gonna rip Hunters heart out making him lose a title again. Therefore I believe that had it been any other rider on the gate Jett was up against in the same scenario, he wins it.

It’s sad to see the shit Hunter get now from people saying it’s fixed, since Hunter gave it all he had, if you want to point at someone he should not be one of them…

Its pretty shit how many morons are casting shade on Hunter and Jett. You'd have to be the lowest of shit to keep dragging their efforts down. Miserable khunts. No wonder America is on the crest of becoming an islamic communist state. Have a good hard look at yourselves dumphuks.

Tiddlywinx like Ping, who's hardly travelled beyond Orange county in his life, has panic attacks taking his kid to a liberal city, cast a long deep shaddow on the Lawrences. I used to have some respect for the guy, now he's just an self entitled asshole.

Australia has a higher percentage of Muslims per capita than the United States.  And Ping doesn’t live in Orange County.
You should watch less news.

jett will tell the truth when he's in his 50s and nobody cares anymore. He threw the start figuring that would ice the deal for Hunter, but then he straight looked right at him in the turn then just rolled around...until he looks back, sees Hunter, and wicks up a bit to look realistic. Game over. I get why he did it and I don't really care either way, but it's plainly obvious to anyone watching. Hell, the broadcast just stood around with their jaws agape because it was so obvious no matter how they try to spin it. You KNOW JS7 was watching this knowing he probably would do the same for Malcolm in a similar spot.

Right here is one of the biggest problems in these situations: Misinformation. Most people just glance thru here and take it as the gospel, and then it becomes an easy way for even more people to start piling on and believing it when they read something like that and go "See! There's even more proof, tell me how THAT'S possible?!?"

Jett did NOT "lay down the fastest lap of the moto". He laid down HIS fastest lap of the moto! Huge difference (to the tune of almost four and a half seconds off Prado's fastest lap, and a full second or more slower than everyone else ahead of him in the top 10 except for Jordon Smith)

Conspiracy theories take shape really quick when people might not know the facts, don't know where to find the facts, or are just too lazy to look it up themselves. I'm not accusing you or anyone in particular btw, just saying that misinformation like this throws fuel on the fire really quick, especially when most are just casually bench racing about a subject like this, (which btw as someone else mentioned, is calling a certain rider's integrity into question)

You are correct. I needed to word that better, he did not lay the fastest lap out of everyone, he rode HIS fastest lap. Thanks for catching.

No prob, all good! To be honest that one was an easy mistake to make; it was the way they said it on the broadcast that caught me off guard too! I don’t remember exactly how Weege worded it but I misunderstood it too (he obviously wasn’t trying to fool anyone) So I immediately thought there was no way that could be right, and I just looked it up real quick. My whole point is, so many people in here are choosing one single fact as a “hill to die on” (as a couple have mentioned) but in almost every case, they are either misinformed, exaggerating a single fact, or simply not taking into account the multiple other facts that disproved the entire theory. SO MANY of those facts have been overlooked that basically kill it immediately (a few of them even been used incorrectly in an attempt to help PROVE their position) Everyone is obviously entitled to their opinion, and I’m not about to go tit for tat with everyone in here who is absolutely 100% certain of “what their intelligent grown up eyes saw”  So I’ll just say that if you truly back up and objectively look at the big picture, it’s pretty obvious. Anyone can connect the dots on almost any conspiracy theory (that’s why they’re called “theory’s” lol)  it’s really not that hard, especially once YOU are convinced of the truth and NOBODY is going to convince you otherwise. So why even try? I never shoulda chimed in on this one to begin with. I just had to correct you on that one simple fact (thanks for owning it btw unlike most in here would do) but again, there is a ton of misinformation on this one as well as facts people aren’t even considering. But hey, they KNOW what they saw, right?

So Hoppers fans are going to take those misinformation and believe it is fact.

Everyone can have their opinion but I guess I choose to believe that a twisted ankle on a rutted track makes more sense than risking the consequences of fixing the race. It could get him banned from the sport and literally land him in jail... If they wanted to fix the race he'd have faked a practice injury and skipped the last round or done one of 157 other things that would be less obvious than riding around in 17th.

Deegans fast lap was over 5 sec faster moto 2. Was he in on the conspiracy too?

He did NOT have several 2:19 lap times. He had two. One on lap 3 before Hunter passed him and one on lap 15 well after Hunter passed him. His lap times were very consistent.

Lap 2=2:18.589, Lap 3=2:19.799, Lap 4=2:16.894, Lap 5=2:17.051, Lap 6=2:16.587, Lap 7=2:16.023, Lap 8=2:16.864, Lap 9=2:15.099 (Jett’s fastest lap), Lap 10=2:16.644, Lap 11=2:16.899, Lap 12=2:17.058, Lap 13=2:15.273, Lap 14=2:17.672, Lap 15=2:19.225, Lap 16=2:16.403
