As much as I don't really like mud races, this would make for an interesting wrinkle in the championship fight.

50/50 appears, but I could go for a mudder to mix up the championship.

as someone who lives in la plata & 30 mins from the track , the weather in southern Maryland switches by the daily , don’t be surprised if it don’t rain , but I’m brining my shoes just in case 👌🏾

Booo.  I don't think I'm up for attending a mudder this year.  Getting old, I guess.

How is Davies in the mud?

I'd imagine he's pretty good. He's from NZ where it rains a lot.

Might see you there.

I'm not that interested in WSX, but, around a  weeks trip to Christchurch might be a good thing.

It's mainly about taking my Crazy Old Mum - she's been unable to travel for a while now, after weeks in a (great) Vietnamese Hospital a while back, so a (relatively) close journey might lift her spirits. She's always been a big Traveler, and she misses it. All my mates have gone on about doing Mtbing there, but I've got More than enough of that in my life. So, just sticking to Christchurch, and nearby, with my Mum getting out and about, might be The Go.

PS : Apparently that stadium is pretty schmick, so, if I take Mum, she won't be uncomfortable ( and neither will I - Having some surgery on my back a few weeks ago has Really backfired, so I've missed going to this weekends NL MXGP, and next weeks World MTB Champs - was looking forward to that, and the $$$ I was set to make).

Hoping that the weather holds out....mud races are shit.

I just looked at the hourly forecast, and it looks like the potential for storms will end by race time.  It will likely affect practice and qualifying, but there shouldn’t be any lightning delays or rain during the motos.  The additional moisture might make the track more interesting, but it doesn’t look like a mudder to me.

This is going to be one of those weird Saturdays where:

"lightning strike within a mile, everyone cram into the tunnels under the jumps while the broadcast team scrambles to re-play an old segment about women or fabricated struggles."

That's weird, because the weather I just looked up shows a 60% chance of rain pretty much all day tomorrow.

for those that might not know, there is ALWAYS a 60% chance of thunderstorms in the southeast during late summer/early fall.

and as we all know Budds is as close to the southeast as AMA pro MX can get.

50% chance of rain. 50% chance it won't rain.
