First thought is they obviously know chase is leaving and they're just working out the details, but then I think about how many races they've missed with AC, Anderson, prado, and now chase and it might just be a matter of feeling like they need 3 riders to have 2 on the track more often than not.

Oddly, I struggle to come up with a great that I associate with Yamaha, short of going back to Hannah, Glover days. While Stew and MC rode for them, I don’t really associate them. Odd.
But back to Mookie, this could be a great signing for Kawi. They need some positivity and Mookie = positivity! Maybe this ‘27 Kawi will be just what they need.

Kawi has a brand-new bike to set up and dial in. Better to have 2 currently racing pros to set them up than Marchbanks + unknown availability of Chase.
Chase will not be ready for the start of supercross and I'm sure they (and Monster) want two bikes on the line at A1.

I don't think Aldon has anything to do with Julien's improvements (but I could be mistaken). Pretty sure 3strokemx has it right - Davi trains Julien.
It is a bit off putting that Aldon gets as much credit that he does; he typically picks up champions, puts them on a concentration camp diet, and burns out a lot of them (AC, KR, JA, etc.). He did help RV and RC trim down and get super fit, but they were already champs.
