Why isn't this just aired on Peacock... The infrastructure is already there, they have decent film crews, and the viewership already has the subscription. No chance I'm paying some unheard of streaming service another fee to watch this race. This Flo thing smells like the time they tried to air the nationals on that second rate streaming service that never worked.

Flo does a lot of dirt track car racing.

Seems like this is an audition to see if Flo can successfully present a motocross event.

Maybe NBC won't be needed in the future?

$40 paywall could be a way to reduce traffic, Flo might have other big events happening during the same time and doesn't want to overload their server........although if the test goes well they would invest in greater capacity.

DC has already tried to use flo for Pro Moto, and it ended up as a shit show. If pro moto does not continue on a major network, ie NBC, FOX, CBS, you are going to see a lot of pissed off sponsors, especially with how the sports gained popularity in the last few years. Your normal joe blow has Peacock, they dont have Flo Racing. Example of this, DC has always bragged about the viewer analytics from GNCCs Racer TV streams, such as 10-20K views in a weekend, but with Flo, i bet it drops down to 1500, if that.

Yeah I'm not paying $40 to listen to Kevin Kelly mispronounce names and ramble on with his stupid stories...

The consequences of "grow the sport" keep hitting the fans harder and harder. Come out to a national, and you can't get anywhere near a decent viewing area without paying outrageous amounts for VIP access. Want to watch the up and comers? Open the wallet now. I truly do hope this fails miserably and they lose money on the deal.

Yeah I remember when Flo took over for Mav tv when that failed Flo wouldn't cancel my subscription at the end of the outdoor season had to end up canceling the credit card just to get to stop payment definitely not going to that again even if it was 10 bucks

Yeah it’s pretty shitty. I get the money and all that but the stream did well viewership wise and they had sponsors. Maybe this is the wrong mentality to have but I hope very few subscribe to Flo and it makes them reconsider going forward.

Phil agrees with you, with Matthes laughing and (sarcastically) saying "Loretta's needs the money"....

While Keefer keeps saying "careful, careful"

But he says what he wants, right? Lol

I cringed so bad at this. Dont bite the hand that feeds you!!

Even if that hand is displaying a gross amount of greed/neglect for all of the people that have supported this (already ridiculously expensive) event from home/work/elsewhere in years past by tuning in.

Flo had their audition years ago. They failed.

You think the $40 is a paywall associated only with an amateur motocross event, when you yourself just listed the other events they broadcast? To reduce traffic? Wow lol

Do you think FloRacing is paying Racer Productions or is Racer Productions paying them?
Or no pay and Flo is relying 100% on subscriptions?

What I think is you have some of the worst takes and thoughts I've seen on here in 20+ years.

So you don't know?  You came in with an attitude like you knew stuff that should be obvious to everyone else.
I was hoping you would enlighten me.

We already tried that and they tried to gaslight us into thinking it was a good move when all it was was a clusterfuck as is typical with DC and co

Flo Racing is the sole reason why I decided to no longer be a Snocross fan. For all the previously mentioned reasons. They killed that sport. I used to go to Canterbury every year and have made it 1x in the last 15 years because I have no idea who the riders and teams are anymore due to the cost to watch. I mean c'mon, who hasn't heard of Blair Morgan, Tucker Hibbert, or Levi LaVallee? It's because there was a time where you could watch on cable / sat.

Moto better be careful not to follow that path.

This was def the case at Washougal. It was packed - the biggest crowd I've ever seen there - and there was no good place to watch from. Granted, even on an empty day there's no single place where you can see even half the track, but with the new 8-foot chain link everywhere that blocks your view, the fence lines being moved 10 feet farther away from the track, and the VIP sections taking the best spots, it may have been the last Washougal I go see in person. I usually move around a lot on race day, but that was a waste of time this year with all the impeded views.

One positive is that they eliminated all the VIP platforms that lined the whoop section a few years back and left that open to the GA fans. But the chain link, hay bales, and distance from the track made it less than optimal. Most people there were watching the huge screen they had mounted in the trees so they could see what was happening. Depressing as a spectator even given the awesome weather and fantastic track conditions.

I snuck into the Fly VIP tent (on the corner after the Chuck Sun jump) at the end of 450 moto 1 and frankly, the view there wasn't great either.

Oh and to the original post, yeah, no I ain't paying to watch it. I've watched for years to cheer for our PNW and NorCal AMs, as we always have friends and fellow competitors there. I'd expect very very low viewership this year.

It's amazing how much more $$$ I have now that we are not racing anymore. The costs are out of control.

Should add a poll to see how many vital members are going to pay for it. Would think if not many members that waste time here are doing it, it would be a pretty good representation of fans in the US

I have tried to watch as much as possible the last few years - guessing 15-20 motos throughout the week is what I average. No way I'm spending $40 for that, especially given the history with Flo.

I think a lot of the general attitude around this stuff comes from the current state of the world. Seems like you can't even take a piss without getting charged for it these days. Insurance costs or not, LL makes insane money on the whole thing. They aren't doing the sport any favors with shit like this.

I enjoy Matty's videos also. Some of his ad libs are hilarious. Only his voice audio is a little muted. Its hard to understand him at times.

I always would tune in and watch the new talent and old pros. Now I won't. Always somebody takin a good thing and effin it up. Red Bull Romaniacs and Erzburg are probably safe for now.

I already pay for it since it covers my daughters cheer events.  So it's actually a net benefit for me.

Data point for them: I watched a significant number of races last year, I will watch zero this year.

I’ll be interested in their viewership and how it translates to revenue vs. youtube and ads.

Would be nice to know how much they made from youtube and adds. Combined, the full-day broadcasts generated over 830,000 total views on YouTube 5 day motocross 2025. I would guess youtube pays from minutes also.

They did this for the SnowShoe GNCC race this year as well, moved it to FLO, mid season right before their biggest event of the year with no heads up about it. I may know some people who just went and bought a superbox just for this reason. Your better off doing that and bypassing paying FLO the money, then you can stream everything you ever dreamed of. Racing,Sports,Movies TV, Just about everything.

7/29/2026 10:36am

Probably the only races I would have wanted to watch is the ones with Phil and Zach so I will not be paying.

Pretty much the SMX Next/futures/combine...whatever the F they call it now, has superseded LL's.

IMO, LL's is now just a Vet national with a bunch of minibike classes thrown in.

Every year I put the YouTube stream up to watch the races and so my customers into moto can also watch. No way I’m paying $40 to watch 5 days of amateur racing. Massive mistake on DC’s/MXSports for this one. I also hope very few subscribe to FLO for this to show DC how massive this mistake really is.

Love watching LL's. Not enough to pay $40. Hope next year is on YT again.

I'm in. Signed up and cancelled the same day. Good til the end of August. I've spent $40 on a lot dumber shit than watching loretta's.
