Remember the 2022 sx at Atlanta Motor Speedway? That track was badass! Way more hybrid than any of these trash piles. Like someone said, Daytona is more hybrid than these straight up sx tracks.

I thought the race at chicagoland 3 years ago was a pretty decent hybrid track with longer moto type lanes and sweeping outdoor corner's and expected to see more tracks like this the following season's, but we get the dragstrip/supercross non-hybrid instead.

They currently market these tracks as hybrid, but there really isn't anything hybrid about them. They're supercross tracks in different stadiums. If they wanted a truly hybrid track it would have to be outdoors. Personally, I would love to see them hold an outdoor round that has an sx flare in parts of the track. They could tighten up sections of the track, slow id down, throw in a rhythm section, whoops, an sx triple, and leave the rest of the track as outdoors. This would make for some interesting setups. For the 2nd moto start today, most have seen Kitchen and a few other riders tangling up and blowing the first turn and headed towards that photographer. Well, that photographer was me haha. I've seen comments online asking if I was fine and to answer, yes, I got out of that situation somehow completely unharmed. I went right back to shooting pictures after that. Wow, these tracks are terrible. They're just dumbed down SX tracks -- so even less passing because there won't be technical rhythms or whoops, instead just hard-pack straightaways and switchbacks which we no produce no passing in SX due to a lack of ruts. Also, the first are in soccer stadiums, so tiny little tracks just like San Diego. Really disappointed to see such a step down. I personally though the Charlotte SMX track and Chicago SMX track provided some great racing and very unique track design.

Come out to a national, and you can't get anywhere near a decent viewing area without paying outrageous amounts for VIP access. Want to watch the up and comers? Open the wallet now. 7/25/2026 8:39am Honestly, the way they have degraded the in person experience over the years, this is a real question. You save a lot of money, and get to actually see the race with no VIP areas in your way from your couch.

Part of being the goat is the ability to stay injury free. Ricky had 10 outdoor titles to his name, from rookie season to the last full season he raced he never lost an outdoor championship. Tack in 5 sx titles as well and retired by 27. Did that while battling and beating Mcgrath, Lusk, Windham, Larocco, Reed and Stew

I was watching the webb helmet cam of southwick and noticed they completely removed the switchback before buckley berm so now its just a straight away. I was wondering why tf they would take this iconic part out of the track so I looked around a bit and figured out they did it to put in a new vip seating area. Wtf!
