Chainsaws are a form of protest against the AMA rules on displacement for two strokes. I say keep it up until that changes.
They only thing they're protesting is intelligence.
When Nielsen was on the podium for getting third in WMX I heard like 3 different chainsaws, sounded like the deforestation of the Amazon happening in front of the podium lol, fucking absurdly comical at this point
Anyone know the extent of Mayla’s injuries?

It’s amazing that you can hear them wait until they start interviewing the rider on the podium AND THEN they fire them up and let them rip. 😭
Chainsaws have been used as noisemakers for decades wherever you find partying fans mainly in the European races from what I have seen. If it's a protest, count me in. Mr AMA, tear down the wall (preventing 2-strokes from heads up cc to cc racing).
Someone needs to choke out the mfer with the chainsaw.
I have not really cared about the chainsaws and noise makers much.
Until today. It's been super annoying to hear that horrible running chainsaw drown out the announcers . Just wide open for most of the women's race. And a lot in the second 250 moto. I hope they run out of gas soon.
Somebody should at least tune the saw for the person so it sounds decent. Its like nails on a chalkboard.
its excessive at this point but im sure the guy doing it thinks he's hilarious... or he's just black out drunk.
Shove it up his arse!
Rumor has it the FIM is only going to allow electric saws at their events starting next season.
What is a chainsaw blade? You mean bar and chain?
I muttered "fucking annoying idiots" here on my couch a couple times.
What happened to the golden era of MX and places like Unadilla and the Hill People?
Who can forget the electric bikes, the silent gallery/crowd during the motos and golf claps at the podium after the epic Hannah rides?
What has happened to the civility and refinement?
Maybe it's JT$ with his poetry quotes and intimidating vocabulary ("unloosen") that has brought the barbarity to the sport recently?
The last RedBud MXON, there were dudes going around knocking those dudes out.
I don't care for violence (Anymore) but I do love two-strokes, just not amongst the fans, especially with little kids still developing their ear drums
It was an old Stihl and had no exhaust on it, straight out of the exhaust port, sounded horrible.
I was hoping it would melt the piston.
BRING BACK 2-STROKES!
THAT'S NOT WHAT WE MEAN!!!
Pit Row
I do think they could have been smarter about their timing and location.
I also hope it keeps up until we hear 125’s ripping around at the Nationals again. Plus no more 2T capacity rules.
I had no issues hearing the 450 podium speeches. I think its awesome not many sports you can do this
You are my hero, for bringing up “unloosen.” Which means tighten, right?
Irregardless.
After the first 250 moto they must have said something to them because you could hear them shut them off and then restart them after the interview.
It is time to put an end to them. At least if someone is a loud mouth jerk yelling, eventually their voice will give out.
Is it really what we need for spectators, to allow something so annoying?
What positive do they add?
Time to end them.
Can we leave the airhorn crowd out of this? Today was one specific person with a chainsaw. I’m good if they make a decision to ban chainsaws moving forward but the airhorns are cool to hear in unison as riders pass by.
Seems like the chainsaw people are the “look at me” type and I’m always happy when that crowd gets pushed down.
There is at least a chance, however vanishingly small, that the low IQ persons using chainsaws and airhorns are not inbred. And, that the inbred persons using them are not low IQ. It is, therefore, statistically unlikely that all persons using chainsaws and/or airhorns are low IQ and inbred. Q.E.D.
That's the way I've always interpreted it, but I did a little digging and that redundant, genius word is recognized by "supposed" authorities on the language, like Merriam-Webster... which now means they're off my list of respected resources. 😄
It's another one used by the "useless extra sylables" crowd (like "preventative"... because "preventive" is just too short so we need to stutter in the middle of it, right?) and the "we don't need no stinkin' suffixes" supporters - It's not "bigger" it's "more big".
I guess the extra syllables and words make them feel more smart? 🤔😄
Maybe the members of the poetry reading club JT$ belongs to challenged him to use it in a sentence on air? 😂
It was good for a laugh, so I'll take it. 👍
There is video proof Deegan was one of the chainsaw users at the race.
Soooo, which classification does he fall under? 🤔
Please discuss amongst yourselves. 😄
Is that a chainsaw in your hand, boy? Or your sister?
I was thinking the same thing "that's gotta run out of gas soon"
Did they bring gas in? LOL
