The only reason I was so in on sx this year was because of Hunter vs Roczen. If there's not a championship battle in sx, I check out. I want to watch every mx round no matter what. Its not even close how much I prefer mx. Going to Dilla and Budds Creek this summer. LFG

Unadilla go north to Bice Rd and loop over to 18  But you wont get any of the locals BBQ chicken going that way.

Budds Creek go south on 234 toward Chaptico and take Mechanicsville Rd. Its longer but a LOT faster.

Same for High Point you can go all the way over to the river and follow it down to Morgantown.

Budds Creek could be the easiest National to get out of. At least in my experience. Best track for viewing too, by a mile

Another great point

If only they would get rid of “Daytoner” Will. Her voice is like nails on a chalk board. She’s about as attractive as a mud fence…..

Pro moto is so much more of an in person experience than SX, too. Add camping at the track for the weekend and no sport can come close to it.

Just 60 minutes of bare knuckle boxing, banging gears, eating rocks, fans doing beer bongs.

Sport rules. Nfm.

I totally agree. WAY better

I think they both have their downsides. With SX there's a lot of downtime, and with outdoors if someone runs away out front and their isn't many battles on the track it's a loooong race. Still prefer outdoors though, high speed battles are always more exciting.

SX is a night out, MX is an adventure!

I used to like supercross a bit more. However these days the tracks have just become too cookie cutter, so give me outdoors where a 450 can actually breathe.

Few things in life beat a day at a National for me. I’ve been to WW, Muddy Creek, and Budd’s. Waking up at the track, bacon and eggs on the griddle, perfect summer weather, beers by 2pm, and the overall feel of being part of the crowd of the great outdoors is unmatched. One of the few things that still feel pure and “core”.

By the time sx or outdoor season starts, I'm equally stoked to watch either one.

4x 30+2 versus 15 and 20 min of actual racing, easy choice. Though this SX season really was good, it's rare that I'm still hyped for the last SX rounds but that was only because Hunter and Kenny made it this exciting.

One thing I'll never understand though is how people prefer MX but such few people on Vital actually watch MXGP.

I’ve watched every MXGP round this year.  It struck me as I was watching last night that the GP tracks tend to be slower and more technical whereas the US tracks are faster and more wide open.

You guys over there are so freaking lucky having this series and see these riders in the flesh.

I havn't been to a MX event in years but clearly remember even the local A class riders looking insanely fast...I can't  even imagine what you are all seeing.

Sort of goes without saying. I haven't watched an entire SX event in over 15 years.

Actually different tracks each week, each track is top tier, longer races, etc.

SX is cool because it gives us a similar type of racing during the winter but outside of that... I'm not sure how it became the most prestigious title.

Promoters and trying to be ‘main stream’. I think our schedule is backwards. We should have 10-12 SX races and 15 ish nationals.

Unfortunately the numbers show otherwise. Average SX attendance 50K+, while a national struggles to get 15k spectators.

Outside of the “extreme core” fans, Supercross is the winner.

“SMX” is nothing more than a ploy to get the nationals more attention.

yeah between the speeds and changing terrain I much prefer outdoors also. More line choices. Its just amazing how fast these guys are.

I can't stand the amount of injuries in SX. Not that MX is safe, I just hate seeing the injuries to major contenders deplete the racing field with each passing round indoors. 3/4 of the battle is just staying healthy throughout the entire season. I got spoiled growing up a Mcgrath fan,  he never really crashed or got injured during his run (indoors). I realized later he was an anomaly.

It really is better. Wife and I are making plans to hit every national in the country spread over the next few years. I stopped going to Supercross races about 5 years ago after a pretty strong 22 year run.

I want to check all the boxes. Not hitting Pala though... I'll go to GH the first year it is back, or never, whichever comes first.

I have to admit I was pretty impressed with how big the race was. Tons of spectators (Estimated 18K), presentation, banners, look, vastness of it. Cool! I was cringing at thoughts of all those people getting out of there to go home though.😬

So many people that it took 2 whole hours to get from a little before the Pala Casino to the track. 2 hours to go 2 miles. Pit passes were then deemed worthless. People were idiots leaving, cutting in front of multiple people in multiple lines. I haven't been going to nationals as long as some of you, but I have never waited 2 hours to go 2 miles, or stayed at the track until it was dark just to get out of the place.
