Can we get some cliff notes?

Will get better idea listening to it, shock talk starts at 10:30. Main point was that it would blow through when it got hot.

6th on the day with a mistake in each moto isn't terrible all things considered.    The Kawi looked good.  Chase looked comfortable.

Tip overs this year beat the shit out of landing on his head last year, so he’s already starting in the positive. Hopefully he improves every week going forward.

I agree. But Chase does does Chase things. He wants the bike to do something it can't at critical times.

He did it on the Honda and KTM as well. Should have been on the podium yesterday.

Chase/Kawasaki will be fine,

Yes, he does have his moments, but think about it, other than a healthy Jett, who is faster than Chase?

Maybe an older Bullet, Coenen, Tiga and a younger Kenny and Eli.

Currently competing? Hunter, Prado and a more experienced Dangerboy can/will run with him.

I still think Chase can win it all this year.

Jett or Hunter would win races on the Kawi too. I doubt championships; what they have forged at Honda cannot be done within months, maybe ever at Kawi given Prado/Sexton experience.

Wait…is this known info? Did these folks say that chases bike was way off comparatively?

Dazzy talked about it.

LoL accurate assessment. He could have started to season a lot worse. But his speed, technique, and track positioning he really should have been on the podium. He looks amazing at times. He was flying and next thing you know, oh he's picking his bike up.

I wonder if Chase rides around expecting he’s going to wash the front tire at some point… Like I don’t know if it’s habit but it’s not unusual at this point…  going that fast and waiting for the front to go on you must not be a nice feeling.

I just listened.  Essentially he says that around the halfway mark the shock was having issues and eluded to not being able to talk about it because he’s with Husky the rest of the summer.  Also said better than last year a bit

I feel Chase is in his own head. The bike looks fine. It's looks like he's riding fine and fast enough...then he tips over. And again. He must be so frustrated with himself. Three different bikes now but the same tucking the front over and over again. Surely it's got to be messing with him at this stage? How could it not?

What is the tuck count at round 1?

I count 2

overall I think Chase feels that was an ok day. He was up front, he was battling...yeah, he tipped over but THE BIKE was "ok" I can only assume. Next couple of rounds will tell the tale for how summer is going to go for him. If he really crashes, I can see him begin riding around in 10th and things could go downhill fast.

He called him out for quitting on the team not for talent or speed….how you people get twisted on that fact is beyond me…

I think both crashes happened when Jett got behind him. Coincidence?

Hard to believe Factory Kawasaki is in this position. It’s absolutely impossible with all their resources, talented personnel, stock bike performance they start with, factory team test riders, etc the bike is this bad or cannot be tailored to fit any riders wishes (Within Reason) BUT here we are.

Prado I assume was just transitioning from steel framed / WP suspended KTM/Gas-Gas. New to SX. Combined with unrelenting pressure to perform. He switches back to what he knows and immediately returns to form.

Sexton while a proven champion is a known head case. Kawasaki should have know if HRC & KTM ultimately even while winning couldn’t keep him happy why did they think it would be any different? Add Prado’s issue and Sexton thinks that adds to his complaints. Publicly embarrassing the whole team and questioning them by bringing in outside engine guys, suspension guys etc.

I know it’s embarrassing but Factory Kawasaki needs to cut this cancerish nutjob free ASAP. It’s obvious he is just going to cruise around, blame them for everything, eventually fake an injury to quit racing, and fight to switch teams.

No team can cure the fact at this point he cannot beat the Lawrence’s, Prado, Eli on a good day, etc, etc. Sexton isn’t happy about that and blames the bike. Ultimately that’s his problem.

Think Triumph can make him happy? Think he wants to be in the Star trailer with the Deegandashian’s?, Ducati and Beta would be a disaster. HEP Suzuki has Roxcen. Why would ANY team think they can do something HRC Honda, KTM, and Factory Kawasaki could not? Hint: He has burned so many bridges other options are limited.

I actually think that the riding from Chase at Pala exceeded my expectations, ithought he would've been way worse. And he did okay.

Obviously he isn't racing to finish in okay positons (4th to 6th) and Kawasaki aint paying him for that either.

Dazzy done a video interview and said along the line of "When we got hold of the bike, the previous riders hadn't done a great job of developing it, the bike was nowhere near where it should be" "Previous riders" being Roczen & Sexton.

Those were just straight up mindless mistakes yesterday. Nothing to do with trying to get the bike to do something beyond its capabilities.

No doubt and I'm a fan. Way too inconsistent to handle this version of Hunter. Couldn't beat 70% Jett. What happens when he gets better? He better worry about Deegan and Prado too

I thought he did at least show speed, for what its worth. Lets see what he does at Hangtown

exactly this , just my personal observation chase going back & pushing back to deegs in moto 2 is enuff for me to be like ok , on a track like shougal or even next week at hangtown where he has success, he should snag a moto win or overall but yeaaa im still seeing the same ol mistakes where title wise in this current field , he will not be champion

I was a bit surprised at the 2 falls, he was riding well, but certainly conservative for Chase.  Even when pulling back up on Deegs, he wasn’t pushing hard.  The bike is better, but still not what he wants.  But this was progress…. Let’s hope for some positive mojo in the Kawi hauler.

I honestly hope he gets better. Whatever the issues may be. We need more guys up front challenging for wins. The more the better.
