Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
So only you should get a long weekend?
I like it, more testing time, recovery of any nagging injuries.
It has to line up so High Point is Father's Day weekend. That's the priority.
I remember when that was the domain of Budds. Hard to believe it's been over 25 years since that changed.

SX and MX both start(ed) a week later this year. No idea why.
And this weekend was High Point. Didn't realize it changed that long ago. Now I feel older than I already did lol
They have to make some money real quick to pay for the national.

This and one less weekend off during Supercross. It does feel weird to wait 3 weeks between Supercross and Motocross though. Last year was one off weekend, this year two off weekends and it seems realllly long.
DC has to jam in a amateur event. Line the pockets if you will.
It should be illegal for SX not to start on the first week of January.
IIRC, the teams asked for them to push SX back to the second weekend of Jan since it was too close to new years. January 1st was on a Thursday this year.
They should always start a week early- it will eliminate the last week of testing crashes which always seem to knock a few guys out..ha
MXGP runs this weekend AMA didnt want to play second.
I don't have a calendar in front of me but I think if the first Saturday in Janusry is before the 3rd, they just push it a week, and I think that was the case this year. Wasn't A1 on about the 9th or 10th?
Hate to admit this...but, up until about an hour ago, I thought tomorrow was the Pala race.
Man that sucks, I hate when that happens
Indy 500 is this afternoon. Most schedule makers avoid having a competing event same day.
With so many car races on TV today maybe Peacock wants solid viewing numbers?
It Was always cool at High Point when they gave Indy 500 race reports on what was happening
Pit Row
If that's true, then why is the Indy 500 on the same day as the Coca-Cola 600?
If the opener was this weekend then it wouldn't be able to be next weekend .
idk. Possibly because the fan base of car racing is so large they can afford to promote & run different disciplines of the sport the same day and guarantee sell outs and massive TV, streaming, PPV audiences with global coverage in the millions producing shit tons of $. I don't imagine scheduling Vet MX or 2 Stroke world championships same day would stand a chance at competing for attendance, viewership and advertising $. Moto is a big part of participants worlds, but can we really expect SX or AMA outdoors to compete on same scale as the generational big car races?
Actually the Coca-Cola 600 is on the same day as the Indy 500, done by design to dethrone the "Biggest Spectacle in Racing."
As Nascar was getting bigger they decided to compete with the Indy clan as they were in disarray with the whole IRL/Indy series racing struggle. All the famous stars and big money people would go to Indy and mostly country stars and sponsors went to the CC-600. I think it evened out for a while in star power attraction. But honestly I haven't followed either for over a decade.
But John Andretti decided to run both races on the same day in 1994 (doing the double as its called now) and I think 5 other drivers have now done the double...
As a fan, the off weeks suck. But it's probably good to have 2 off weekends before MX just to give any injured riders a little extra time to heal up. I have to imagine the extra week is good for Tomac.
