Does he come back for possibly a farewell tour or does he hang it up?

#1 would be looking choice on an RMZ with yellow hoops! With Suzuki’s 10-year trajectory (2008 then 2018) on bike development, I vote rock that Number One plate he so rightfully earned through 2027 and then do a 28’ farewell tour on an all-new 2028 RM-Z450 👍

It sounded like Ken told Hunter after, “you can have the rest I’m done.”

Did anyone else hear that?

he can cruise around in 10th place in 2027. I am so fucking happy for the dude.

Sure did. It was "I think I'm done" and obviously tongue in cheek. He's close but no doubt he will be back to sport that #1!

With how emotionally and physically drained he looked. I wouldn’t be the least surprised if he hangs up the boots on top. After all winning the sx title was the only thing missing.

Minimum will be a farewell tour I think. Gotta show off the #1.

I could definitely see a “farewell tour” season next year you know he’s going to want to run that number 1 for 17 rounds. Probably snag a win or two at least and ride off into the sunset for the perfect ending to his absolute blockbuster career. Hollywood would eat this up!

No way he nor PMG nor Suzuki passes up the chance to run the big No.1 plate next year for a farewell tour. Name your price Kenny!

Don’t expect him to win it. But that doesnt matter.

I completely agree - I mean, just to pull up to A2 on the 10 year anniversary of that incident as KR1... I'd pay him a whole seasons pay just to get him to do that.

For real. Ken's "legacy" was stamped last night. Like someone else said, he can roll around the track with #1 next year and it won't change a thing other than putting more dollars in his bank account.

I'm mostly curious if Suzuki will actually roll out a new bike next year or not.

Hollywood would much more likely ask, “…okay, but how many backflips can he do?”

I hope he keeps racing

But

I hope he retires too

(Just like a woman, I can't decide)

After those injuries no one deserved that one more then Ken Roczen

I was looking at the stats and completely forgot he won those two wsx titles too. Those def hold more weight in his legacy now that he came back and won sx to cap it off too. Those really were some building years that built him up to this point. Its been a nice slow build for like 4 years to get to this point.

Nahh surely he rolls up to A1 2027 sporting the red #1!!

Imagine coming into a new season with the luxury of a completely free, NFG mindset - job is done, career complete, just literally go out there, bask in it, enjoy the ride, have a dig and accept whatever result you get each weekend.

Farewell seasons are extremely rare, let alone those where you enter as the defending champ.

Heck, with a solid off season prep and that mindset, he would still be an extremely formidable competitor!

100% agree - but also, if he likes it why stop? I was almost slightly annoyed by Ricky's comment that he should retire. It felt like Ricky's inner "the only thing that matters is a championship" mentality rearing up. Why not go another few years just bcuz?

It might just be like Ricky's last season too, as a parallel - pressure off, calling himself the "old man"... and then ironically riding almost better than he ever did in SX.

One way or another we will see a #1 Suzuki on the track. Whether it's an attempt at another championship or a farewell tour, I can't imagine him it not rocking the #1 for the first time in Supercross

You guys keep saying "farewell tour". Same guys who counted him out this year? He could win the whole damn thing again next year. We've seen time and time again you can't count anyone out. He might even have the mindset of a "farewell" tour in the beginning, but after he has 4 race wins and the red plate half way through the season, It's game-on...and if he wins again? He's comes back again..

I think he'll come back for one more, if he doesn't, it has been one hell of a career. Wouldn't blame him for either choice.

After Kenny watched the video his wife made for him, he will be back for another year or two.
Then he needs to clone his wife as he’d make millions.
She is a great person.  We need more like her out here in the world.

No better way to go out.

Maybe race a select few rounds, but that's it.

This whole going out on top thing doesn’t make sense to me.. it’s almost like admitting you don’t think you can back it up… To me it’s not glorious, I see it the same as running away from your competition

Agree, seems like quitting. To be fair ive never been no 1 at anything in my life, so going out on top doesnt register with me, lol!

He is an obvious contender next year, imagine the statement and legacy it would be to go back to back.

But...if he doesn't retire after this year, and continues to race like many have...what does he have to look forward to when (not IF) he stops being a true contender for a win due to younger riders coming up or simply age catching up to him? Then, the super flaky moto fans will write him off, declare "he needs to retire!" on Vital, and various podcasts. Going out at the top of his game, especially after all the years he's spent chasing the prize, wouldn't be running away from competition or "admitting you don't think you can back it up". It would mean that he doesn't have to prove anything to anybody any more, and can enjoy his role as a "present" husband to his wife, and Daddy to his kids more.

Kenny is leaving a helluva legacy!

Hope he comes back to run the #1 plate. Don't care where he finishes.

5/11/2026 8:35am

i dunno. This fairytale movie has one helluva ending with him waving goodbye to the stadium with his #1 plate and the end credits roll. I agree that he could roll around in 7th next year and he'd still have hella fans, but I'm selfish and want the movie to end MY WAY. ;-)

2027 A2 in the '17 Shift gear with the number one plate would go HARD.
