He should be very proud of the season he had. He gained valuable experience & knowledge to help him get a SX title in the future.
What a class act.

Hunter is a Class Act and may well be the 2027 SX Champion!

Really wanted Kenny to win this, happy that he did. But hate it for Hunter. I believe that most post that I’ve seen was that they wanted Kenny to win, but didn’t want Hunter to lose.

Hunter carried himself so well. Really hope that he can get a 450 championship, in SX or MX.

Hunter is definitely a class act.

Well said: wanted Kenny by to win, didn't want Hunter to lose.

Hunter is a boss. Yes it will be tough to bring the ship home but Ken winning shows it’s not impossible. Rooting for Hunter

Hundred deserves a lot of credit, he rode incredible all year and handled the loss like a true competitor.  Other than the accidental sand incident early in the year both these guys have raced each other hard but very clean all season long, and we got to see the epic championship battle we all wanted because of it.  Kenny could have easily punted him off the track in the second corner and pretty much ended it right there but had enough respect to give Hunter room, and I bet Hunter would have done the same if the rolls were reversed.  Much respect to Hunter, he will absolutely have his day.

Many of us are stoked for Kenny because we all know what an incredible story his road to redemption has been, but Hunter's lifelong efforts should not be overlooked.

Agreed, his lifelong efforts should not be overlooked.

Few new 450 riders get to that level in year 2. Most elite newcomers win at year 3 or even later. It's coming, he will be even better next year.

And i have to ask, is this season from Hunter one of the best without winning the title? Eli in 2017 is the obvious number one in that category but this isn't far off, Hunter was incredible this year.

Major props to Hunter, he won me over as a fan with that.  Great role model, fantastic racer, and good person.

Why would you question lifelong efforts? Racing moto has been his entire identity since he could twist a grip. Started racing in Australia, then in Europe and now the US. Has he put his efforts somewhere else besides racing that makes you say that? I'm confused.

EDIT: he changed his comment and deleted the others lol

It's impossible as racer to not feel for Hunter.

He upped his game big time, with but a few errors and mechanicals it was just not to be.

This is a very resilient guy, I believe he will get another opportunity.

I am a huge Kenny fan and very happy to see him win - for him and for Suzuki..  But I became a Hunter fan last night.  His grace after defeat was great to see.  I hope good things and a Chip will come his way soon.

Hunter seems to always have been a better outdoor rider.  In the 450 outdoors, he’s a top contender.  With this years supercross run, and his increased boost in confidence, I predict a complete monster in this years outdoors.  In my book he may be the favorite for this year.  Call me crazy, I don’t care.

Yea he just got his first win this year and was in the title right to the last race. Hes still got a long career ahead of him and honestly being the 2nd best guy is still a huge accomplishment. One thing we see each year is its a completely different championship every year and you never know whos gonna be in it to the end. Hes gonna have more chances.

My whole life I think there's been someone I wanted to win every championship, until this year. This is the first time I was truly sad that someone was going to have to lose. Hunter and Kenny were all class all year.

Hunter took the loss with head held high and stood through all those celebrations without letting it obviously get to him. It probably helped that he had the last 10 minutes of the race to think things over. He took the loss like a man, and I wonder if he was standing through that celebration using it to add fuel to the fire for next year.

You have to lose one to win one, Hunter will still get to be supercross champion.

Crazy how close the Lawrences and Roczens families are, the photo of Kenny and Dazzy and Kenny and Jett were epic.

Same here.  I'm  going to be really pulling for him to win the SX title in 2027.  Classy guy.

Hunter is my Lawrence fav from the beginning

was heartbreaking to see him lose...but at the start i got some thoughts in my mind his nerves will play into a bad way and sadly i was right he made a Sexton move 😭

gutted for H.........second if every 450 title now (some multiple times) in his resume............the only consolation was the fact that it was  kenny that beat him.

Tide is turning for 2027. Jett, Prado, Hunter, Sexton, Deegan.

Yup and they’re all relatively new to the class. Funny how you lumped Hunter in that group when the argument you started was that he was old!

Started the season without a win in a main event!

Gave it 100%, and wanted it. But I’m sure in a way even Hunter is happy KR94 won. (Being so close to the Roczen family! And being able to relate to Kenny coming back after injuries.)
