For comparison that’s 10 more years than Hunter.

You do realize Kenny was in Europe to begin with as well right?  So not sure why the poor Hunter was slogging it in Europe take.

The Lawrences litterally sold up everything and burnt the boats leaving Aus to race minis in europe 14 yrs ago, and to be the best in the world now. I know because I knocked back a opportunity to sponsor them in 2012.

damn you sound so miserable lol

I second that.

....this is gonna be one of those bitter sweet deals.

My heart is with Kenny. My head says Hunter.

Anything can happen.

I don't want to think this, but did lack of electric start after the Seattle takeout/racing incident Hunter on Roczen cost him even one position?

Seems sorta important right about now. Yes, I know he prefers kickstart due to engine "feels". But damn seems pivotal now.

Kenny raced Loretta Lynn's twice in 2008 in the lites B stock and modified classes.  That's it.  Stop acting like he was groomed through the amateur system in the U.S. because it didn't happen.

Same.

Really want Kenny for redemption and the 10 year effort. Wouldn't mind Hunter because he seems like a good dude.

I'm Australian so obviously I'd like Hunter to win it, if Kenny wins it I'll be very happy also.

Kind of want Ken to get it done just because he's at the end of his career and it's a great story, Hunter will have a lot more opportunities after next weekend, Ken not so much.

So to play the devils advocate, if he had the electric start would the bike be as good and would he even be close to this position... something to think about.

I think Kenny is wondering where he’s going to find 0.5 sec per lap.

Chill out, mate.

All I was saying was that it's been about 10 years since Kenny's near amputation of one arm, then that gruesome break of his other arm in Webb's spining rear tire. Now he's near the end of his career and this might be his last shot.

I've said all along that Hunter seems like a good dude and I wouldn't mind seeing him win it, too, but he's younger and has plenty of time to get it done.

And fuck you for bringing up the fact that I'm a Yank. I'm rooting for a German and an Aussie, dumbass.

Where does the term "Yanks" come from?

Yankees is the term for you mad bastards that come from the Northern territories right?

Just wondering where did it all start?

I think that it originated during the American Civil War era. The Confederates, or those loyal to the southern slave-holding states, referred to the northern anti-slavery Union population as, "Yankees."

Later, the term, "Yankee," came to be synonymous with all Americans, worldwide.

This is likely the only chance they will get to be 450SX champ. Not a fan of either guy but I’m goin with Hunter, I don’t wanna live in a world where Roczen is SX champ

I went in to this weekend thinking Kenny had the edge…. Now I think Hunter has taken it back.

Hoping it’s Ken, thinking now it will probably be Hunter.

I hope Kenny can pull off some magic but I think Hunter just reaffirmed last night what he has all year. He's the top sx rider in 2026. It took his big crash in Detroit and a couple of mud races to make this championship so close. Maybe the stars can align and Kenny can dig deep for one more race. Otherwise Hunter has got this

Hunter is not the only one who had bad luck this year. What if Hunter didn’t take Kenny out or Kenny didn’t land on AP? His only two big points losses have not come from his own mistakes.

Hunter on the other hand has crashed, by himself to lose the points he has. I have a bad feeling Hunter is going to win next weekend but pray that we see a very fast version of Kenny.

It sucks that one of those two great guys will lose out. Sport is brutal.

What ever happens i hope that both riders are able to race to their full potential and that there won't be any issues with bikes, crashes etc.

Common sense says Hunter. He has better stamina than Ken, does better starts and has (in the dry races) been the better one of them this year.

I get it that people root for the old guy just like they root for Eli. But I would not bet my house on Roczen to beat Hunter straight up on pure speed or stamina in normal conditions.

So conflicted!! I've always wanted Kenny to get a SX title, but when Jett got injured, I thought this could the year Hunter gets himself a SX title. This late in his career, I really didn't have Kenny on my short list of contenders at the beginning of the season. That said, whichever one of them wins, I'll be happy!

Every couple of days, Vital makes me laugh out loud. You win for today.

Although  I don't think Kenny needs to go all Jeff Gilloly on his ass, this was funny.

Interesting. I'm glad you found that because I was just shooting from the hip.

I'm from Maryland,  but I said, "y'all" one time at a meeting in Manhattan and I could see the Yankee disdain on their faces in that instant. 😀
