The points leader took a hard hit in more ways than one, any post race interviews, or news on injuries, bike issues?

Looks like he landed on his right shoulder kinda of hard, I think that was the one he had previously injured & had surgery on from SX?

That was a hard hit.  I'm surprised he was able to hop back up so quickly and finish the race.

Really hope he’s alright.  The fact that he didn’t pass a couple more people with 5 minutes left on the clock makes me think he’s probably hurtin.  Hopefully just banged up and not broken

Black flag him then, he is obviously a danger to other riders (Craig)

Yeah all these rounds he’s had the red plate, he’s really been handling the stress badly 🙄

I can’t believe people, including the commentators, couldn’t see that.
Most guys probably would have called it a night, those couple of extra points might be valuable.

He clearly had something wrong with the bike after the hit. I don’t think it was injury. He got lucky that Eli was off and didn’t win. Or this championship would be over.

Unfortunately I've been waiting for this to happen, he's looked sketchy in the whoops at multiple races this year.

Can’t lie I watched him go through the whoops in the heat and was worried about him having to handle them 25 times without issue.  They got so many riders this weekend

Among other possible issues with the brake, etc, you could see that the front wheel was pretty warped in the replay of his later fall in the turn.

The bike fired a warning shot a lap or two before his crash. I’ll bet he’s pissed he wasn’t more conservative. He really didn’t need to pass the 4 or 94.

The whoops claimed multiple riders last night. Bit of an odd design they had with the half whoop at the end of only the right side because of the abrupt turn.

I don't recall seeing a whoop section quite like that where there is an extra whoop if you want the inside line coming into the next corner. There were multiple guys going from left to right in that section who got squirrely and had that last whoop catch them. Hopefully they don't build them like that again. Fingers crossed he is just sore today and not injured. Would suck to see the championship fight end with injury again.

Tracks should have difficult whoops like that every week imo. It's up to the riders to hit them at a pace they are comfortable with. Some guys had issues, plenty of others didn't. We can't expect them to nerf the track every time a top rider makes a mistake, that's how we get tracks with no separation.

Aside from causing crashes and near crashes, I don't think the extra 1/2 whoop was a separator. There is a difference between "nerfing" a track and using common sense design choices. Just extend the whoop across the entire track or remove the final one altogether. Creating a hard edge like that at the end of a whoop section is a recipe for disaster.

Those whoops were straight up wicked....evil bastards.  Davies, Malcolm, and Kenny...the Whoop Masters all had their "oh shit" moments.

I was hoping that last little cunt wasn't gonna bite Hunter.  It tried a few times and then it did.  Hope he's ok.

No hate, season is coming to the end, i just call it as i see it.

Red plate at early rounds/mid season doesent mean much, it gets heavier the closer to last round they get… very often…

Hunter has absolutely been crushing it this season... but all you older guys know... nobody makes it through an sx season without at least one bad race... glad to see he's not seriously hurt and hoping he keeps pushing it to the end... making for a seriously interesting season...

Here’s hoping it had more to do with his bike being banged instead of him. I hope this championship battle goes down to the last lap in SLC between at least 3 legends!

There was definitely a “Whoop Monster” at the end of those beasts!!
It's amazing how incredibly well Davies took them over and over. I wonder what his whoop speed was vs the 450 guys?

You watch Weege's post race vid? He walked over and showed what condition the whoops were in. Dear lord in heaven. Cupped out, destroyed mess of a section. Mind blowing to think about hitting them at any kind of speed. Is it revisionist history that the whoops didn't break down like this pre limegate?
