ET Looked kinda unhappy and buttoned up during his interview. Like gettin the red plate is the last thing on his mind. Last week it looked like set-up, looked like he was physically off tonight.
All the top guys have had a bad race now. If ET hurt expect Lawrence to stretch it back out on Roczen. Webb to give Roczen a run late season. Sexton will steal a race or two. Prefer ET champ, but...
Everybody talking about how bad Eli rode. But nobody mentioned he also started in about 12th I think. So it wasn’t his best but he did go from 12th to top 5.
He was 7th ahead of Hunter early, then got passed and dropped.
Pretty sure only positions he gained after that were via crash, and he got passed by Cooper, who was much further back.
He was right behind hunter and then was gapped immediately by him and also got passed by Dylan in a matter of three laps

I agree. Even John Tomac didn't look super excited after Eli's interview, like they both are thinking something is a bigger worry right now and they're almost in disbelief they've been gifted this position without being able to take full advantage of it. Idk. I sure as hell hope I'm wrong.
You skipped the part where when he got behind Hunter on the start straight he was pinched off in the middle in about 12th. 🤦♂️
Negative go back and rewatch
I think we have an injury of some sorts….
Eli knows what he needs to do just like he did a week ago. And he also knows he under performed again. The Red plate is in hand but he's going to lose it if he doesn't get his shit together.
You got this Eli.
Or can.
You have it.
Still.
You have to get it these last races.
The championship is in your grasp.
Banged up...
...or Epstein Barr...
I want an Ian Harrison post race interview. See if he's still as giddy as he was during the honeymoon.
Legit funny to me with the amount of questioning injuries that takes place around here that the tomac fans are creating one out of thin air because he's not riding well.
He has been off the pace ever since the Justin Cooper heat race crash. I’m guessing he tweaked something during that crash.
They put on Sextons ‘25 shock? That or Hunter broke him…
Imagine the hate if Prado or Sexton were in the same position 🤔
He has been off since Daytona. In Indy he was like "second was all we had tonight". In Birmingham, he said something similar "we just didnt have it". Now tonight. At Indy, he was obviously sick with something, you could very much hear it in his voice when he was doing interviews.
I wondered if there was some kind of issue when I noticed that he wasn’t at press day yesterday while Prado was.
He was clearly off pace the last two races. The triple crown he had some bad luck AND Hunter was riding well. Probably sick or a practice injury, we'll never know. Not one to complain or be transparent.
In general even in WSX he is not as good on the slick dusty tracks as he is on the tackier tracks with more room IMO. Going to be a nail biter as this tightens up. Good going tonight Kenny - I believe!

Dude okay yeah I thought press day was for certain teams not people - I felt like he should have been there??
Can anyone clarify?
explain the bad starts. lack of confidence when injured?
Press day is rider limited, not team limited. That's why you've seen Bogle at the past two but not Colt.
Not everyone is on gear like you are bro.
I’m not going to blame the bike but we have a trend on slippery surfaces. Australia preseason was bad, Houston, Birmingham and Detroit. I’ll also say he doesn’t have the same aggression. Eli would never say if he was hurt.
I think teams are scheduled to ride press but each rider is limited on number of times they can ride. Tomac and AP were at Arlington press day and prado wasn't at that round, so that may be only reason he was there this week and tomac wasn't.
I watched him close at the end of the race. Once Webb started showing him a wheel after catching him from way back in the pack something changed. Tomac really turned it up on the last 2 laps and was the fastest guy on the track. Should not have got passed by Justin Cooper earlier but almost caught him back at the end. Expect him to be disgusted with this result and motivated.
This ^^
After that get together with JC his aggression has diminished. I too think that after that crash with JC he hurt something. Not bad enough to keep him out but it is preventing from riding the way Eli usually does. Hope he can get it healed up in the next week.
The week off came a week too soon.
Maybe Elis had one of those ol shocks blow out on him during the week and lost some confidence in his bike? Who knows but Hunter isn’t far back at all.
I don’t know what it is but I don’t think it’s age.
It's crazy how good Prado is at starts this year. I really think he may be a title contender next year. The giuy has great style, but he just rides like such a bonehead when someone is trying to pass him. He's legit going to hurt someone.
