509 has been doing the "goggle fit to match the helmet opening" bit for a long long time on the snowmobile side of things.

My 6D gets super hot just with my regular Scott, TLD, etc goggles (I have several different brands). Like the idea, but airflow would be a something I would want to confirm before buying.

Looks interesting…one concern- goggles pressed up against your face absorb sweat from running into your eyes.

Yes, I thought that was the point of why we didn’t just run full face helmets?

It’s because they’re too hot first and too heavy second, a solution could be found to the dust thing but full face helmets are way too hot. Anybody voicing a concern with the 6D design regarding this has a valid point

The helmet is unchanged, it’s just a custom fit goggle for it so I don’t see how the ventilation would be any different/worse. It’s not covering any of the vents.

The ATR-3 6D helmets are not too heavy. Pretty much in line with many of the others now.

I worked 11yrs at TLD and i'd say most of that was a daily demand "we should make goggles"...strange to see 6D making goggles before TLD lol.

6D also offers "supercooling" pads that are supposed to help deal with heat, something I just recently learned about as well.

If I had to guess, might work with glasses.  Kinda dual sport ish with foam seal.

Waking this thread up after months. I heard these goggles where supposed to be out to media Feb-early March? Has there been any updates?

I’ve actually called & spoken to Customer Service reps a couple times in the last month. They were expected at the end of last week, but I was told there was a delay.

April 1, no April Fools Day, is the expected release date.

I’m waiting somewhat impatiently for a better OTG option than the currently outdated 100% OTG goggles. I was told to expect the price point to be a somewhat surprising ~$150

🤞🏻

Ive been wearing armatics in my atr3, but these are definitely appealing. Ive touched base with my contact at 6d a couple times and hope to have a set to try soon too.

looks sick but I agree with others that there seems to be a lack of airflow, usually you'd get some airflow to your face under the goggles but with this there is none

I’m not willing to decide there’s a lack of airflow until I try them. I was impressed when I switched to the ATR-2 & blown away when I went to the ATR-3.

I can’t accept that designers who have made me a loyal customer could forget something as simple as goggles needing airflow to stay clear. I mean, I knew about goggles fogging by the time I was 6 at the public swimming pool.

Nothing I’ve tried from 6D has been a dud. Why would these goggles be any different?

Seems a lot like my Bell/Scott Prospect setup. Wearing a XS helmet helps. IMG 0896.png?VersionId=1DmK7Rt.Cl0cbYA

I could see Fox doing something along the lines of this for their helmet and goggle, too. You could really make a unique face opening in the helmet if you limited it to a single, specific goggle shape.

How do they address fogging in the cold weather?

Does the ATR-3 cool that well with standard goggles?

I like the look. I am very finicky about goggles, though. I'd be interested in trying the setup, but I'm not sure I want to buy a $900 helmet and a $150 pair of goggles and then dislike the fit.

I haven’t noticed it getting particularly warm. In the ATR-2 I went with the Super Cool pads to help keep it cool right away. I haven’t felt the need to switch to them yet in the ATR-3. I’m in my 2nd season wearing the ATR-3

key to no fog is breath misdirection with good baclava. and ventilation so u dont sweat. the new ckx models have heated lenses  which pretty much makes them fog free no matter the previous mentioned methods

to much coverage for me.  might as well go full face if you want that much covered.

I think the google moving independently of the helmet helps keep a seal on your face. I wonder if that’s an issue with these. I run a at3 and 100%s.

To be fair, I’m trying to eliminate the sealing issues I’m having with the 100% OTG goggles (essentially Accuri 2’s).  Because the Accuri 2 is a traditional goggle without outriggers like the Armatic or Armega, the tighter you make the strap, the more it actually lifts the frame of the goggle away from your cheeks & forehead.

I’m bouncing dirt inside my frames EVERY moto that I don’t pull a holeshot (so 95% of the time).  I can’t get glasses to fit inside modern frames & had terrible experiences with the lens inserts made by a couple companies.

I’m ready for a drastic change in goggle technology. THIS is what I’ve been waiting for…

Now watch the new 6D Max not fit over glasses 😂🤣😂
