6/4/2026 9:11am Yes that is very true. And to some extent, a lot of vet guys on 250Fs are doing an ECU and exhaust etc anyways, so it's just a few more things that will need attention (airbox and funnel etc.) That being said, it's not so much the amount of power, that I am worried about. I think it's more that I'm assuming as a stock bike, Yamaha maybe didn't think they could get the air velocity any longer, to make it run like the prior engine. So they decided to shift to the new head style and make it more...

6/3/2026 6:15pm Yeah sounding very ktm ish now. All they needed to do to this bike was make a better fitting air filter. Give it dual injection and a steel basket. Thats it. Wins every shootout and sells out before needing to be discounted.

6/3/2026 2:58pm After all new Honda and 2-stroke Kawasaki.. Yamaha should have made 350f and would kick them back to top.

6/3/2026 2:57pm This is the one that I have been waiting for and not going to lie, I've been a little bit worried about. I have been a big fan of the YZ250F style of power, especially since '14. And it's really the only 250F that I keep going back to. So with the sound regs in place and having to choke it back, I was curious how they would handle this. And now with the change in the head, along with the bore/stroke change, I feel like it may make more peak hp but run more like a KTM and not...

6/3/2026 2:56pm I really liked the simplistic design of the old motor, I will probably be waiting for the 28' model so they can work out the kinks with this one.

6/3/2026 2:13pm It’s interesting to me that the press release states “won 16 out of 17 supercross races.” Why make a change to a bike that is so dominant?

6/2/2026 1:33pm With a 74mm bore and 76mm stroke, you'd get 326.906cc. As close to a '327', as you're going to get! The Beta 350 went up to a 73.6 stroke - only a little bit more than a near 'traditional' 72mm on most 250 / 300 2 strokes, I'd think, to keep piston speed down, so as not to lose revs. But, you never know. Smaller piston = lighter weight, may be an offset to the longer stroke. Should be a Great thing, whatever B & S it has!

5/28/2026 9:42pm I think if you're hoping for a 202lb KX125/144 motocros bike in an aluminum chassis you're going to be let down. I think if you're interested in Euro5 compliant, 230lb, e-start, large displacement, injected, Enduro focused twoatrokes, you'll have a great way to spend $11,999.99

5/26/2026 2:13pm Appreciate you getting a ride in them and sharing the feedback. Good call on removing the nose interface that’s definitely an option for clearing glasses. That said, we’ve found most riders using glasses have the best luck slightly modifying the nosepiece by trimming a small section so the bridge of the glasses can sit naturally (a trimming guide for the goggle nosepiece will be available very soon). If you still want the dust protection, this also helps keep the glasses more stable compared to removing it entirely. We also offer ATR-3X cheek pads developed for our off-road adventure helmet that...

5/24/2026 6:04pm I just had my first ride in them today with glasses. I removed the nosepiece altogether to clear the frames of my glasses. Dust was not an issue for me today, even with the nosepiece removed. I’ve always felt like the ATR-3 squeezed the arms of my glasses pretty well & kept them snug. Once I tried the Max goggle...

5/21/2026 7:25pm You’re definitely not alone. I went back to a 250F about five years ago and don’t regret that choice one bit. I’m riding longer motos and I feel more comfortable on the bike. At my weight and skill level, if I can’t get it done with 40hp, I shouldn’t be doing it.

5/21/2026 7:25pm I’ve had a 24 KX450 for about year and half, got a good deal on a year end leftover. I don’t have much to compare to, first 450 for me. Always been a 250 guy, but had to have a 450. I’d guess it’s as easy to ride as any 450. Turns good and stable too. It’s still a 450 and ya crank it…….it goes. I didn’t knock the plug out of the air box, fast enough as is. I also dumbed mine down with a 10 oz Steahly flywheel. Doesn’t spool up as quick and cut down engine braking...

5/20/2026 3:56pm My Vampire tearoffs just showed up for mine as well. I can’t wait to compare them to the 6D branded laminates. The price point & customer support from Vampire have certainly made them competitive so far. I worry about the dust if I run them without the nosepiece to clear my glasses 😬

5/20/2026 3:53pm I did two 30's in mine Sunday and it was mid 80s and dusty as hell. I wear contacts and had no issues with anything getting inside. I do feel more protected when getting roosted. Regular goggles ive had dirt sneak into the helmet around the edges of the goggle but I don't think its possible with these. My vampire tear offs are working well with them too.
