Got my first ride in on a set and overall have good things to say. I ate a ton of roost on an intermediate/sandy track and had zero dirt intrusion. Feel like my prospects would have let a little bit in. Breathing felt a little better and field of view is a lot different but felt like I acclimated pretty quickly. I'm a heavy sweater and usually get sweat on the inside of my lens even when swapping goggles every moto. I ran one set of 6D goggles all day for 4 motos and some dealer demo rides in between...

So I guess its been 9 years since I posted this: https://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/Sold-the-bike-and-hung-u… The itch to race has been real bad lately, so I pulled the trigger on a YZ250, and picked up my son a KLX110. We'll see how this goes at 42 🤣

I tested it a while back at cahuilla when the 6d guys were there. I will say the field of vision is definitely an improvement. The goggles not pressing against my face takes some getting used to. Been using armega goggles and the 6d ones were way better. Will be purchasing one very soon, glad this finally came out.

Could this outdoor season could mark a turning point for Jett as the series begins to shift toward a new generation of contenders? He’s been the rider to beat—and has already proven he can return from injury and perform at Pala—but this year could present a different challenge, with a deeper field and pressure coming from multiple directions. Rewind: Jett’s entry into the 450 class came during a period of generational transition, with Chase being his only true same-era rival. You could point to Tomac or Roczen at times - both still elite - but being old Dads from an...

I’ve heard it mentioned more than once that they were pushing each other on the practice track. Hell I’d venture to say there’s a rivalry at the practice track we DO know about… 😂

Schock seems like a good guy, however I can’t see how that move was anything but on purpose.

AMA will penalize him for going backwards on the track. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Devon Simenson just pulled off something remarkable. Last time I saw something like that was 08 Sam Fran in the mud with KDub.

I just heard that 6D is having their press launch on 4/1 and the info will be embargoed until 4/3. So, a lot of feedback and questions answered after 4/3. Also heard plenty of initial supply headed to the warehouse. Going to be interesting to see all the response once everyone gets to try.

To be fair, I’m trying to eliminate the sealing issues I’m having with the 100% OTG goggles (essentially Accuri 2’s). Because the Accuri 2 is a traditional goggle without outriggers like the Armatic or Armega, the tighter you make the strap, the more it actually lifts the frame of the goggle away from your cheeks & forehead. I’m bouncing dirt...

You could def go cruise around and probably be fine, but the components that came on that bike are top notch. So why not dial them in a bit? I'm no expert but start with setting sag. Then check static sag for an idea on spring rates. Here's an article that may help. https://motocrossactionmag.com/bare-bones-how-static-sag-can-help-you-c…

Hi, I just picked up a 26 YZ450F a couple of days ago after giving my son my 24 YZ250F. I weigh about 230 lbs. and I want to know if the 450 suspension will work for my weight or will I need to have springs and valve work done to it as well? I’m a slow vet rider who may race a couple times a year. Mainly just go practice for fun and exercise. Any advise will be helpful thanks.

I rode mine stock from 200lb to 235 and all in between. I did fine on it bone stock even at red bud and Daytona in my respective vet classes. I jumped pretty much everything (besides loraccos leap) on stock. I will say, if you get up to B speeds, youll be low in the stroke in corners and you may get a little harshness. Its perfectly fine to ride in stock form for the average 230lb guy tho.

I race my ‘25 YZ250f 17-20 times a year & ride almost every single off weekend. I’m at 205lbs on bone stock suspension. The Yamaha stock suspension is SO good. Set the sag, adjust the clickers (we put an o-ring on the lower fork tube at the first seal change) to use almost all of the stroke, & go rip...
