Yeah it sucks to have a fan favorite take his life in this direction.

If he actually beat the Wife the charges wouldn't have been dropped...  It's way too easy this day and age for girls to have their significant others/baby daddies locked up.  all they have to do is call 911, say they're being abused and the Men go straight to jail.  they dont even need proof or evidence anymore.   Jason needs to kick her to the curb and try to get custody of his daughter

No team will likely touch him as this would be a PR nightmare. And being he is not a championship contender probably best to fix the issues if possible, lay low for some time. Hopefully it works out and he gets help but being away from this circus is likely the first step

I believe the neighbors called 911 after they witnessed the altercation take place. If i read the police report right.

No, that isn't how it works.  I'm sure that its happened that way at some point , yea, but not the norm.

apparently she was at the first couple races. thats a hard decision to make as a business owner unless shes got visible injuries or you witness abuse in the rig; you want to presume its in the past and looked worse than it was, if shes willing to come to the races and hang out (im not saying it did, for the nuance-challenged). then again, she's prob just there to keep him away from pit tootsies and track snacks so.

not sure if you guys knew this, but modern weed can make some folks a little more prone to schizophreniform psychoses, so there's also that.

That’s a great point actually, the fact they were showing up to Anaheim and San Diego together would’ve been a good sign for the team that maybe it was an overblown dispute. Weed cultivating psychoses is also very real, even though I have a hard time believing Jason smoked enough to trigger an episode, anything is indeed possible

Jason just made an official statement relative to who was at fault....

First and only thing I will say on this subject. Whether it did or did not happen, I am praying for Jason to work on and change anything that needs to be fixed for himself, for his wife and most importantly for their daughter.

It’s up to us to have at least basic regulation over our emotions, turning to fighting when someone is pushing buttons is just unintelligent and poor emotional control, especially if towards a woman who literally is incapable of fighting w the same tools you have. I do understand that’s just your opinion, not something you’re writing in stone

It's human friggin nature. To understand something, you need to first acknowledge it exists.

The hardest part about this is no matter what happened, this will always be at the top of mind.

If Jason assaulted his wife, it's over (rightfully so)

If Jason did NOT assault his wife, it's still probably over.

Years ago, there was an actor by the name of Sasha Mitchell. Sasha (male) was a recurring actor on a few big sitcoms & had a pretty bright future ahead of him (stay with me here).

Sasha got accused of domestic violence by his then wife. He was arrested & removed from every show/movie he was a part of immediately. He was even arrested for violating his probation & sentenced to 30 days in jail......5 years later he was awarded virtually full custody of his four children because the court found it likely he was PROTECTING his children from his wife.

Did that matter? Nope. Hell, for YEARS I every time I would watch a rerun of the shows he was on & go "there's the abuser"....Only a few years ago did I read up on what happened & realized I had an opinion about the guy for 20 years & it was completely false.

By the time the dust settled, his career was over & the headlines of "falsely accused" or "found innocent" never bring as many eyes as speculation does, so rarely do the innocent get properly vindicated.

There are absolutely no winners here & Jason will be the looser whether he is innocent or not, and that is a tough pill to swallow.

Mirtl getting fired last January kicked off the absolutely most insane, bizarre 15 month period this sport has ever seen.

I was just gonna say, this has been a season for the ages boys!

Isn't erratic and sometimes violent behavior a symptom of the effects of repeated concussions?

Look up Cannabis Induced Psychosis. Apparently a real condition related to the high THC content in weed today. Some people are more susceptible than others.

That wouldn't excuse DV any more than being drunk would....anyone trotting that out as an excuse is an enabler.

Wait, are we saying that marijuana makes people go home and beat people up and get violent? Have any of you people ever smoked weed? Has anyone ever heard a real incident of this? Seems like a fancy name for paranoia, not a name for a drug induced, high AF rampage. 1 double whiskey is going to make you more violent than 8 lbs of marijuana.
