We're well on the way to our future...🙄 I miss the times when the only time we saw or heard from the president was the state of the union speeches once or twice a year.  The childness of our "Leaders" has been on the decline for awhile. DJT is taking it to a whole new level. I voted for him (like we had a real choice) but goddamn this shit has gotten ridiculous. It's like they're 9 years old. We deserve better.  This coming from a Trump supporter, can you not just do your job and stfu on social media.  God help us

It makes it much more difficult to implement the policies I want when the focus is on stupid shit. Having said that, the faux outrage is just that. He needs to be smarter than this. Bullshit.

I challenge you to post the transcripts of Obama's speeches during his first year and point out the mentions to GWB vs Trump's mention of him in 2017 and Biden in 2025.  They are not even close, especially in Obama's case.

I’m going to agree with this being bullshit. Obama was actually on the road to installing senior leadership positions to Republicans before Mitch and the Tea Party decided “our number one priority is to make sure Obama is a one term president “.

I didn’t vote for Obama, but he earned my respect and was probably the most middle of the road president in recent history.  In my opinion of course.  And I am sure I’m about to be flamed.

The tide is turning folks. Many Republican members in Congress are going to soon find there moral compass. Republicans hitching there wagon to Trump is going to be viewed as one of the dumbest and worst things the party ever did.

Ironic somebody labeling something as dumbest when they can't distinguish between their and there. Way to make a point. People should make up their minds about Trump, is he stupid, a criminal mastermind, or a master manipulator of the media and political system? Maybe like most Presidents through our history he is a complicated, multi-faceted human who is no choir boy.

So the President who nationalized 20% of our nation's economy is middle of the road? You know he was the President who started the border wall too, right?

Harris wasn't elected because she didn't get enough Democrats to come out and vote for her. You say that racism is to blame for her loss.

Why do you think Democrats are so racist?

Maybe so, but Harris lost due to the democrats forcing yet another candidate onto their constituency. Trump focused on those disenfranchised voters in 2016 and 2024.

ok?  this is a thread about the sitting president posting racist content on his personal social media platform.

then the whitehouse doubling down, saying no - it wasn't racist! relax!

then trump deletes the post

then trump doubles down and says yes i told them to post it, nothing to apologize for!

"You are all so deeply ingrained in this fucked up cult - you sold your own children for it.  Wild.  It's a miracle any of them still want you in their lives."

Listen dipshit, I guess you're incapable of believing there are people who voted for Trump based on his policies vs his opponents, and we're not all  "Blind followers to his cult" or whatever the fuck else you've been brainwashed into thinking. Regarding your comments about me "Selling my kids" ?  Let me make this real clear for you,

FUCK YOU

If someone posted such a video on Vital, depicting a forum member as an ape, they’d be banned.

Yet this was the president of the USA.

If you strip away who belongs to what party & view all of this behavior by OUR elected officials - it’s embarrassing.

Childish. Trump acts like a child on the playground.

Would you allow your children to behave like this?

Where has all of the integrity gone?

I’m fed up with how extreme both parties have become. The MAGA party is not republican. The progressive liberals are not democrats.

The first party that can realize this & put an actual adult in office - will succeed.

And sadly because the president is doing this, people who normally would keep their racist thoughts for themselves, are now just saying these racist things loud in public. The hatred, anger, and polarization that Trump is unleashing across America like a hurricane will continue to haunt the country long after his term in office has ended.

No matter what Donald Trump says or does, I am responsible for my own conduct. As every other adult is responsible for their own conduct. Hatred, anger and polarization he's unleashing? No, the people expressing that have always held it in their hearts. No different than the hatred, anger and polarization shown by the far left during the 2016 presidential election, during COVID, through CHOP/CHAZ, etc...

If you're going to paint with a broad brush, make sure it's broad enough to smear everyone who has earned it, not just those on the right.

This dumb lady had a racist outburst 9 months ago because Trump made that post 3 days ago?

Is it easy for you to be silly in multiple languages?

And the endless TDS droning on and on continues.

Much like a car alarm in a parking lot that nobody pays any attention to.

What’s more frustrating is the people, probably many of the folks who downvoted this, who won’t admit to themselves or others that they’re racist.  Just own it.  Saves everyone time.  My dad has said the N word regarding black people in recent years and told me “I’m not racist that couldn’t be further from the truth.”  He’s not unlike many Americans and MAGA men.

Fine line between prejudice and racism. All of us evaluate a person by their appearance before the first word is spoken, whether it’s clothing, tattoos, or skin color.  That’s prejudice/stereotyping. Racism steps in when those same people hold onto those assumptions regardless of what comes next.  When ethnic origin is THE primary evaluator, it edges closer to the R word.

You seem highly intelligible.  If you remove the reluctance to sound “woke” or “left” and look at it just purely objective, many many trump supporters have massive distaste for black and brown people.  That’s the reality.  And they admit it to their white friends.  I’ve been in the truck with them or at lunch with them or in the locker room.  I’m not fabricating it.  We all know if we remove our bias of defending our idea of what’s happening that supports our “side” vs what is objectively happening.

No. I’m a Non-MAGA conservative. There are millions of people like me who were previously classified as right wing, but not by today’s militant standards.

I grew up in the Deep South (confederate flag belt buckle included).  But I never understood the innate disdain of black people.  My parents and relatives used the N word like one might say dog or cat. And many of my old friends do the same. While by no means did Trump create their prejudices, he did legitimize them.
