Maybe(?)   But he'll also be winning mains along the way.

Well i can, Jett Lawrence has Chase covered in 95% of the races they race each other.

At times, he does not slow down to go faster in the turns and when the speed has exceeded what the turn can handle, a dirt sample will be taken.   Using the front brake too late in the turn and/or he is still needing to keep the bike leaned to far to make the turn for the exit.

I hope that make some kind of sense because I hate typing paragraphs.

In my very uneducated opinion;

He sets up the bike so he can ride at 100% and when he can’t ride at that pace, the bike doesn’t work the same way.

He said it in an interview post race after his win that if he just rides at 80 or 90% of his top end pace he can win. He seriously should be asking his friend Ken Roczen for some tips on picking a setting and sticking with it.

STOP SEARCHING AND JUST RIDE CHASE FOR F@CK$ SAKE!!!!

What are the reasons or evidence of Keir being a problem?  Is it wives tales or reading between the lines or actual instances??

Actual instances apparently as members of the moto media heard from team personnel at KTM that Keir was a problem from the beginning.

I do believe it’s a smoother relationship this time around with Kawi.

Lots of riders win right away on new bikes. Tomac is the latest. Tripes used to do it every six months it seems.

Common?  By that you mean when a former champ switches to another team and wins. That's exactly my point.   If Sexton had not locked in a win this early in the season maybe it'd be a different situation.

As such, the call for pitchforks on Sexton are overkill at this point.   He's very much still in the season points race.

Chase can be as on as he wants he wasn’t beating whatever version of Eli Tomac was at the race Saturday night.

That is actually some of the best evidence that chase wasn't beating eli.  Eli went from 9th to 4th in 2 laps, maybe less, prior to his crash.

I think it would have been better for Chase to stay on his KTM, however I'm thankful that his exit cleared they way for Eli on the KTM. If Kawi was the only spot open I'm not sure what Eli would have done for '26. I had always hoped for Chad Reed-like solo program, but it looks like Eli is really happy at KTM and vice-versa - and not just in results.

Steve also did an interview with Kier about a year or 2 ago. Just go listen to the interview. Lots of (we and me). Just not good vibes imo.

He needs to stay out of setting up the front end. 🤦‍♂️

Did Lewis or anyone else get an interview with Chase after the race this weekend?  I haven’t seen/heard one.

Ask the Honda people also about him. His negativity affects Chase and the whole team. Also there negativity wore off on tom last year at ktm and had a big effect on that situation with tom n ktm.

Didn’t Chase go from last to 4th earlier this year?

What I would like to know is if chase has worked with an actual sports psychologist at any point? Not a coach or former racer or trainer but an actual expert on the thing that most believe is his biggest issue. Would be a shame if hasn't. Should be contractually obligated to given the history.

Chase needs one badly, but it's also kind of mindblowing that all pro athletes don't do this. Given how massive and well-documented the benefits are.

Yup. Watching Chase navigate his way through a Supercross season is like watching Tony Soprano navigate his way through mafia business. He just seems to be on the verge of mentally crashing out at any given moment.

I like him, though. He seems like a good dude. I feel like to succeed in this sport, it actually helps to have a one-track mind. Being an overthinker can do a lot of damage, it seems. I look at AC the same way. He's obviously one of the brightest dudes to come through the sport over the past few years, and he always seemed to be working through something. Chase seems to have a very active mind in a similar manner. Tomac seemed to be like this earlier in his 450 career as well, but ever since his move to Yamaha, he reminds me a bit more of Dunge in his approach (probably the most mentally steady guy I've ever seen in the sport).

Edit: I don't mean to say Chase hasn't been successful... the guy is a 450 champion, both indoors and out. But I don't think his mental tendencies are helping him out in getting a few more titles.

Yes but last place happened in the beginning of the race, and while still very impressive, is much easier to make passes early when people are bunched up and the leaders havent pulled away
