if the $-number is correct, he made about 9 to 10 million in bonuses + his wage at Wasserman. He made some nice money in this niche sport.

Good point. Let’s say he was making 12%.

That’s 10,200,000 in earnings. Not bad. But then take out 40% taxes (~4,000,000) and then you have the Bentley’s, G Wagons, and all the coke and gambling money. And living in Newport Beach - with an expensive wife and a big fancy house. Not cheap!

6mm ain’t gonna get you that far after subtracting all that stuff.

Can see why he needed to “borrow” the donut money.

Same here, but who knows what the truth is and we will likely never know.

He is definitely guilty of being an idiot based on his posts and responses, and it sure seems he did some shady stuff with funds and may be guilty on all allegations.  We just don't know the truth and unless he admits it or it goes to trial and he is prosecuted, we won't know.

He sure as hell cannot pay it all back if he did steal it, and it is far beyond felony levels, so if he did steal/embezzle all of these funds, shouldn't it be a criminal case where the DA is prosecuting him?  If it stays civil, that tells you it is a he said/she said issue and tied to if he had permissions, rights to use, or whatever other BS he is saying he was empowered to do,

Tell me you still believe in Santa Claus…

The guy sounds like a slime ball but there’s an awful lot of mob mentality here.

I think he's most likely guilty, but yea, there is stuff getting out of hand with the rumors. Could he be using coke and banging the babysitter? Possibly, but I'll at least keep in mind that nothing has been proven YET. I don't get why waiting to twist the knife until facts come out in court is such an unpopular stance.

You seem pretty cool with what mirtl did which is pretty weird. Dudes as guilty as one can be and you’re still sitting here like “well we just don’t know that yet”. Fuck outta here. Mirts is a tool and so is anyone trying to defend the guy

Right.  It’s weird that there are people that think there is the possibility that the Lawrence’s, Dazzy included, made this accusation up out of thin air…

Imagine. If Mirts is innocent then the whole Lawrence camp will be despised. Their world will change forever, MX is a pretty tight-nit community and this would not be forgotten. Kind of like the Daniel Blair debacle and #claimgate.

Speaking of reputations, consider the Wasserman group. We're not talking vibes or community that they depend upon their reputation to access. We are talking about their entire business model, and they are a half billion dollar a year sports/talent management company.

Why would they want to accuse one of their own agents of defrauding a client? How would that help them? What could possibly be their motivation other than an attempt to clean the record?

I mean, this is a pretty big black eye for them, and we are to believe, by Mirtl's only stated defense postulation, that they chose to self-inflict it out of some inexplicable "cancel culture" agenda against Mirtl, their own employee. There's just no way to slice that with one with Occam's razor.

Exactly. If this were a misunderstanding or a personal beef then the agency could have made everyone whole and smoothed it over before anyone else even heard about it. That would have been in their best interest. They publicly axed the guy and admitted one of their own agents stole from a client. That is not great for them and the only way they go that route is if they know for a fact what he did was wrong and they can prove it.

That’s my point. No way the Lawrence’s, at this point in their career, took these drastic of measures without there being absolute evidence and confidence that something was taken from them and not just “miss handled”.

I am not ok with what he "did", but it is not proven yet.  Like I said, it would be a a criminal case if he actually stole or embezzled that amount of cash.....and if he did he should be in jail.  Given that it is a civil case, we likely won't ever know the truth.

For example, this attorney went to jail and was criminally prosecuted for stealing funds from his client.

I agree with all of you. I'm just a throwing a hypothetical out there.

I would bet that your number is too high. I’d guess that he probably averaged less than 5% to himself, not the over 10% it looks like you are estimating. Especially for the contracts he was involved with while affiliated with Wasserman.

For reference, Agencies representing NFL players are only allowed to be charge 3%, NBA and NHL agencies are capped at 4%, and MLB contracts, while not officially capped, are generally a 4-5% rate.

Those are probably lower than what happens in MX/SX, but I’d be surprised if they charged double what they can charge athletes from stick and ball sports.

Dazzy is a tradie. Borderline bogan the way it sounds. No way he could cook something like this up. Again if WMG wanted Mirtl out they could have just fired him and said piss off here’s a severance sign this NDA.

All the speculation in here and nobody has a clue what happened.  Who the hell knows what other behind the scenes crap was going on at Wasserman or with the Lawrences.  Mirtl is a massive tool and the whole thing is like speculating about RC and Blair, Davi's locker, or Stews foreclosure

Like some said I don’t think everything is going to see the day of light for the public. In the end it’s honestly best for both parties. It’s been weird from what I saw about it that’s for sure how it was filed wrong to start and a few other things. I’ll click on any updates posted but I’ll still be able to sleep at night not knowing.
