Track sucked, Ralph sucks, no Kenny or any top tier riders, blah. Didn't even get through half of first moto.

I'm grateful we had a race to watch. The soft moist soil provided a challenging and technical SX track which was the same for everyone.

This was way better than a full on mud bath that we have seen a few times this year.

As a Sthlm resident im just sad that possible future Sweden SX events will be known as a dont-go-there event because of the always crappy soil.

Im sure for example Craig will think twice… not that i really care…

Of course!  Race was even to everyone, just it was not regular supercross…

No interviews from riders on the Stockholm event yet…? Or is it not suitable for print..? 😄

Might be an unpopular opinion but I thought the track was horrible this weekend. Throw a few logs and maybe a small rock section and it could have been Endurocross. Really not much of an SX aspect to that track due to the dirt, not necessarily their fault but I wouldn't think this is a venue they go back too?

Definitely not the best track but ot was still great racing and if this is the worst of this season then my god this season is on the rise!

It looked similar to Daytona dirt & how Daytona forms. Some say thats the best race of the AMA series. The cream rises to the top on any surface. I liked it

I'd bet the scaling of the crowd is waaaaaaaaay off too.

seems its the same size stadium as the AUS X Open and Cape Town has the same population as Melbourne.

Pros. First supercross bassically ever. Championship decider.

Cons. No massive stars. Not sure of the number of South African mx fans...

I guess we'll see.  TBH if there's 15k fans thats about the right number for now... but not in a stadium made for 55,000. Hopefully they make the tickets incredibly cheap.

Can anyone from South Africa report on what the hype is like on the ground?

Wasn't the actual "championship" decider the moment when Roczen decided to stay home after three races because he wasn't paid what he expected?

🤔

You could maybe say that about Tomac…  when he skipped the first one because he wasn’t paid.

Webb skipped two because he wasn’t paid.

Deegan was in with a shot after the first round then wasn’t paid to go to Canada so skipped a round.

Chase skipped the whole series coz he wasn’t paid enough…

You have to race the races to win the  championship. Roczen is not racing the races…  It’s pretty simple really.

So now going into the last round it’s bassically a three way tie!!

I live in Cape Town and will be attending the final.

People are excited for this. The fan base is pretty good here. I'll stick my neck out and guess we will have around 20 - 25 thousand spectators.

Also hear that a whole bunch of our springbok rugby team will be attending.

Recently they started selling family packages at R250 per person....that like $12.50 per ticket.

So fingers crossed that we have a great evening.

Dudes are still bummed that there is no Roczen.

Actually not really....Roczen was never listed as or called a wild card (that are limited to two races) as the others were, WSX advertised him in countries where they knew he wasn't racing, the announcing team has repeatedly called Ken a championship contender and points leader although they knew the entire time that he wasn't racing the entire series.....Pretty shady from WSX...but still not as shady as the original snake oil salesmen owners of WSX....This version of WSX is a bit better than the previous but still has a long way to go to become a legitimate championship....

Stockholm tickets were like $73-95.. or even more!

Promoters paying riders show-up money hurts the legitimacy of the series. Yes I enjoyed seeing Roczen, Tomac, Deegan, and Webb scrap and on new bikes, crowning a champion who is not one of them because they didn't get paid to he ringers is lame.

Track sucked, Ralph sucks, no Kenny or any top tier riders, blah. Didn't even get through half of first moto.

The realest reaction I've seen on here. A track shouldn't have dirt so piss poor and soft that you can't even make a normal rhythm section. They literally had 2 roller sections. That's not supercross.

I agree with all of this.

This place always wants to get the pitch forks out when there is a rough track in the AMA SX series. Now it’s ok and cool? If an AMA event was this bad, holy shit, look out.

Any predictions for the weekend? I think Jason wins it again

Rain is very scarce for this time of the year.

Rain coming tomorrow and its an open stadium so hopefully they put some covers down.

A touch of rain also predicted for Saturday. If the track builders do the right thing then we will have a fricken awesome track for Saturday evening.

The tracks haven't been perfect but still rideable. I've seen worse tracks in AMA 😅

He is the only real factory rider in the field, he would look like a goon if he doesn't win.  I am not trying to be negative here, just saying it like it is.  LOL.  I predict he will win as well, with sharp elbows if needed.  I will be pulling for Savatgy myself.
