I don't care who won. It's a second-rate series with marginal talent. Freise won a moto? Sheesh. Red Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuud!

Roczen said in post race interview he's been riding mostly motocross, was really jet lagged, can't wait to get home. Other guys said similar things about barely riding supercross coming into this. They're barely even pretending to care. Get paid, boys!!!!

I thought it was pretty good for their 3rd time. The super pole was cool, especially Hill and Roczen. That corner before the finish, the way Roczen was jumping into it was crazy!

This is the 3rd wsx round , and all 3 have had horrible first corners ,  im not sure why they continue on the path of short start straights and flat corners ,  unless it’s actually part of the plan to crate kaos with the 3 heat format

I was about to mention this race. That first corner was a disaster! They did name the first turn at this race “chaos corner” so I think that explains what the motivation is.

It went off well. A lot of racing entertainment in a short time.

The 3 in a row format is good and seeing the mechanics at it adds drama.

They've ditched the metal finish line jump and the bike cams.

Gonna be a slow build, and obviously Roczen is a cut above at the moment but that will change when Webb and Tomac sign up and possibly Jett and Hunter do wild cards.

Interesting to see Vince #3's  Achilles pegs and the mention that at least 5 of the MX1 bikes had them.

Of course they have to, and good management is not a given.

Look at AMA Outdoors in 2022; great product fror the diehard fans but the rumour was they had to pay MAV TV to broadcast the races.

Now they've been bailed by NBC and Feld.

Much like WSX and Tony Cochran....where is he by the way?

WSX is what the MLS is compared to the premier league. Old top guys and second tier guys.

But if only that were true.

MLS is a financially successful sports league, with network TV deals, global sponsorships, good event attendance, and a waiting list for prospective investors.

Arenacross level club racing. Felt like watching LCQ with this retired rider line up. Eurosport replay came just with bike sounds without any info what is happening in 3 hours. Just nothing after watching great racing in MXGP or even Redbud.

I was at the race last night, lots of things that need to be better, but it was a great day out , those moaning seem to be the ones that paid up for 'better seats' and VIP , when none were needed.

£32 for a seat , in the stadium for the last 2 qualy sessions, 10 gate drops , decent racing, appalling race management and marshalling, and nobody in the venue had a clue what was going on.

We did get to watch Ralph tour the arse end of Birmingham , for reasons i dont quite fathom.

And we had to have music over the top of the stadium announcers, when they were allowed to speak.

Will i go next year.

If its there again, yes.

The Alessi crash wasn't handled too well was it?

Probably should have been a red flag immediately and another gate start.

The FIM official looked a bit caught out.

I was at the Melbourne event last year and it ran well.

WSX is a side-show to a side-show IMO. It's a small step above Arenacross. It won't last.

If you are taking SX to places it doesnt usually go, in stadiums it doesnt normally go to , then it has a place at the table,

If Roczen isnt in it, its a better show IMO, thank god Freise made him work for it, Versatchy pretty much waved him through.

Anstie was decent, Deano was great too, just because you have all the SX , you think nobody else can try.

Its more relevant than all the ball sports only you play, so can be the best in the world.

The comparison still works. The MLS is a second tier league compared to the premier league.

Except some MLS teams nearly sell out the stadium every game.

I’m surprised that Wilson beat Brayton. Guess Justin is suddenly feeling his age!

Not at all surprised to see Kenny on the top box…and JS17 on #2.

I’m not comparing crowd sizes. It’s a league for second tier players and old premier league players. Much like WSX is for second tier sx guys and old top guys.

WSX in Melbourne seated 55000 people last November- over 2 nights.

The seats sold are one thing, but the subscription views once everything is set up will be where the bucks are.

Was the stadium smaller than normal or was it just the track design? I figured it would at least be a soccer stadium which should be the same size as a us football stadium, but it still seemed really cramped and didnt have much flow. I think what made it seem so small was how short all of the sections were, they were never really long enough to put multiple different rythms together. That along with the s turn in the middle of the track really made it seem like a lot of space wasnt really utilized. It rode more like a bigger arenacross track and not a full size sx track.
