I haven't kept up closely but it seems like they have a weird contract thing going on where WSX expects him to be there but he is expecting more $$ to show up.
I've heard that Nichols steps in for Kenny for the last two rounds. Maybe WSX put Nichols on the #1 bike and pretend it's Kenny. 😄
Such a weird deal honestly. Let your current points leader and 2x champion only race three rounds and randomly drop out and nobody knows why.
WSX provided us with some GREAT off season racing and content so far but in the end it's just a gimmicky championship. I wonder what happens next year when their schedule apparently overlaps with the nationals.
Yeah the only thing I could think off at this point is that when the contract was made they offered him a certain amount per race (I think 250k was the rumor?) and now they only had the budget for three races again maybe? It was only 3 events in 2024 and 2023 aswell when he raced the full thing. Anyways, advertising with him when they clearly know he doesn't race is just weird.
Dishonesty, without doubt.

I thought Kenny was kind of a wild card and paid by the promoters all along and not PMG and was only supposed to do the first few anyways. It is so confusing. Kenny said he was only doing a few, but is also now saying he wants to do them all? They say he's going to be there, but now he isn't because of them? Lots of he said/she said type of crap. Just more to muck up their series. But did Anderson get hurt at the last race, or just not finish a race? I watched the last race and still don't know what happened. If so, PMG will need to field someone besides Colt.
Have to ask why is anyone surprised with this shit show series ?

Kens contract was a 3 year deal and he said that this year he was only doing 3 or 4 races. I’m not sure what everyone is so confused about.
Andersons bike seemed to die going through the 2nd rhythm lane after the start. He was trying to start it but it wouldn't fire. They ended up pushing it off the track
There is an ad in the first post of this thread, advertising that Kenny will be racing an event that he will not attend. It is strange, so we are discussing it on a moto forum. What do YOU not understand?
There is a lot of weird dishonesty and hand waving coming out of the WSX camp this year, with the biggest example being this, using Kenny for advertising on rounds where he will not participate. Everyone outside of WSX knows and acknowledges that Kenny will not being doing any more WSX rounds. Kenny makes it seem like he was willing to do more, but something on the WSX side is stopping him. Then on the WSX side, they are just advertising with information that basically everyone knows is not true. I just cannot wrap my head around this.
Taking a walk back through their page, it seems that they have finally announced that he is not competing in the following rounds, but as I said, everyone has known this the whole time. Why did they have to act like it wasn't the case? Did they think he was going to show up to the races out of the goodness of his heart? That the "allure" of a WSX title compel him to show up (presumably) without being compensated?

They are selling this as the "battle for second" when most people who are actually going out of their way to watch these races know damn well it's the battle for the title. The CEO said in the interview with Lewis that they are going after the "tribal fans" of moto. Do they really think we are this stupid? The information they present is put through a bullshit filter 90% of the time and they don't expect us to smell it.
Another example of this being the "teams", and they way they talk about Max being on a "new team" and a "new program" as he races with GSM. The "tribal fans" understand that he is working with GSM and Star to get to all of these races. We don't need this pantomime team switch to understand this.
Sitting through a broadcast of WSX and listening to the call is just a bizarre experience. It, at times, feels like they are trying to convince me that their series exists in an alternate dimension. You can tell that the broadcasters have been coached on the language they use to describe certain things, and it all just feels very forced.
I think that they have a great thing going so far, the racing has been awesome this year, I am just really annoyed with they way that things are being presented.

PLW , great point but you have to keep in mind that we don't know which of three guys that post under "UpTITe" actually posted that comment. The other two guys might be thinking WTF did you post that for? Seriously, how do 3 guys all share the same username. What else do these guys share?

Kenny has been publicly saying for months that he was originally contracted to race the entire series, but the promoters changed something with the deal to where now he is only going to be paid start money for the first three races instead of the full series. The WSX promoters have been using Kenny in advertisements for the rounds he’s not racing in and misleading people into thinking he’s going to be there. It could be to get more people in seats and it could be to save face so they can act like they had no idea Kenny was not going to race, probably both though.
Dunno, ask their community manager.
One thing's for sure: last week, when someone asked them if Roczen would be in SA, they clearly said "Rocsen" would be there. Oh well, at least they can they they never pretended Roczen was coming.

Didn’t Kenny state in an interview that it was WSX that decided he wasn’t doing the full series? I need to try and find that.
