Also can anyone that watched on tv fill me in on what happened to Chiz? Just caught the aftermath of his crash and didn't see any replay but he did not look in a good state

OTB over the berm before the whoops! We were sitting near the triple

Say what you want, but Blair, Emig, and Ralph reminded me of 3 buddies hanging out watching the race. I enjoyed the less corporate commentary. Genuine excitement, not trying to create hype that's not there like NBC makes Weege do.

Dear all, sorry if have been already posted or asked, (I’ve just skipped all messages to not get spoiler results) - was there an official free "backup" link provided this time? Like it was last week on Mux Player I think (which worked for several days after).

I have Fuel TV+ and slicknick and other posts torrents but the quality on that official backup link last week was very good. Thank you again to couple of members who posted it.

He’s been riding/training/coming off the couch his whole career. He should be up there with Savagty and Craig but maybe he isn’t used to the bike like the other guys are?

Just watched the last 2 450 races on YouTube, and was pleasantly surprised. Track looked good, and I like the picture in picture better than the AMA series. There's some positives they can grab onto and keep building and turn this into something that can actually stick around/not be a novelty.

Still sick of Ralph saying "light the candles!" every time the checkered flag is waving and there's no Pyro.

Not sure if it's YouTube rip quality, or their cameras, but it did have a cheaper/low quality feel to it watching, like the frame rate was too slow. Reminded me of the mav tv/flo sports year, everything was blurry.

Tomac looking spicy. He was a touch sketchier than usual. Still looked in control though. I don’t think the KTM likes to be pushed to 105% yet though. Not worried at all and what a fantastic debut.

Kinda looked like Eli Dungey out there pounding out solid laps on the KTM. Bike looked more nimble than the Yamaha that the Coopers were riding. Need Mookie to share his whoop setup and 26 should be interesting.

I feel like it's good and bad. I almost miss having more of an off-season. It made coming into A1 more exciting. Now it's like the racing never stops, and there's so much content now that you see what riders are up to on a daily basis. It's still my favorite sport ever and always will be, but I don't mind taking a break from moto in the fall and following MLB playoffs, the opening week of NFL (which I'm sick of by week 2) and then hockey season begins and I've been getting back into that big time lately.

Of course, to each their own, I just need to mix it up a bit after being totally obsessed with moto for the last 35 years, not missing a podcast or a single piece of content. It's been a nice change of pace dippin my toes back into other sports the last few years.

*Don't get your panties in a bunch over this, I still love moto more than anything.

I get what you're saying. We live in Texas so there's racing year round. We don't race in the winter though specifically to ensure an off season. We still ride and train. But I think an off-season from competitio Is important, especially for my son as he develops. And, frankly he doesn't fall behind the kids that race year round. He's a little rusty in the Spring with starts and race craft, but by time mid-summer hits he's full bore.

I’ve never noticed et3 to drop the nose over the triple like Hanny did. Did it often on the Ktm

That was fun to watch in person. Track looked challenging but fun. Tomac looked solid, Anstie looked like he wasn't even trying. Not sure what it looked like on tv but the crowd was piss poor, but then again Vancouver crowds are always tame in my experience.

I don’t think the crowd was as bad as everyone thinks. The lower bowl alone holds almost 30,000 people.  There was probably 15,000 there. A sold out hockey game is less than 20k. How many more people would you expect in any other market in Canada?

He's been coming off the couch for 13 years... this guy's got the best scam going in the game. I can't believe he gets people's money to put in the effort he does. Shameful.

Yeah, if I had to guess I'd say 6-8k'ish for the main events. But for someone that has been to many 65-70'ish atlanta sx back in the day the low crowd was nice.

We had decent seats and were not bunched up. I've been in the nose bleeds at the old GA Dome and packed like sardines. The food/beer lines were almost non existent here.

I know that's not good for the promoters pockets but my lady friend and I enjoyed it.

Of course but that isn’t entertaining for the viewer. I’m saying they’ve done great job making the parity in the 450 class great, they should also try to do the same for the 250 class because it’s a bit lopsided.

Schock was riding really good I thought as was lopes. There were some laps that they appeared to be putting in better laps than max. Granted he may have been just pacing them but that was  very tight pacing (2-3) if so. He also said he had been sick all week as well. I thought it was fair racing in the 250's especially behind the front three!

Anyone know if chiz is okay. They showed him laying in the main line stuck under the bike. Saw him getting help walking off and it appeared to not be feeling very well.

No pyro for 450 race 2 and it was light the candles. Same thing in Argentina

Yup. Recorded this and the Moto GP this weeekend.  MGP had 205K attendance.  That is crazy.  What a difference looking at a sparsely populated stadium vs a full F1 circuit.

I've been to the Moto GP at Valencia and whilst it's packed, there's no way there's 205k people there. Maybe over the whole weekend but not one day.

It's cool to see it in person in Vancouver but I can't see it lasting long with the crowd size, must be running at a loss for that round. Someone else mentioned Montreal would be better and Toronto could also be an option

I'll be there, I was at the Supercross in BC place back in.. 2004? When RC4 was racing and he won on the RM.

I don’t think it was 2004. RC sat out SX and had surgery on his knee. Plus RC was still riding for Honda in 2004. He started riding for Suzuki in 2005.

Guys get hurt every year in SX because SX is hard, if you make it through healthy you deserve what you get.

Maybe it was 200K across the weekend.  Article isn't clear, but the announcers did say 205K which the way they said it sounded like for sunday.

MotoGP attendance numbers are nearly always for the weekend. Paddock Pass podcast indicated 94k on Sunday.
