One of two videos. One of my riding buddies got hit twice. Over 20 stolen total. He was able to track down a few of them on Marketplace. He was on vacation overseas when they hit. Cops were called, report was made. Police left and the thieves came back and took the rest.

Yeah but it's not like he only got 1 or 2 down votes on that post, he got 3 whole down votes. Brutal.

Kawasaki dealer in my town got hit a few years ago with a few bikes stolen. Drove a stolen van right through the front door. Police pulled up right as the van was driving away and…the cops let them go. They have a no chase policy. I don’t think they were ever caught.

I don’t do it but I talked to a guy that uses two air tags, one with sound easy to find.  Another with sound disabled.  Never heard of it but you can remove the speaker.  It’s not intended as an air tag function but guy I talked to said he does it.

Its pretty easy to take the speaker out, couple of youtube videos on how. I did that for the airtag that I keep in my truck. It will still warn the thief of its presence, but they cant play the sound to help them find it. Having two is a good idea to make them think they've found it.

I feel terrible for Kailub. That is insane to have that many bikes gone, within close proximity, while you are asleep. The championship bikes for sure hurt. And it takes a special type of creep to take kid's bikes too. Just sad all around. Would love to see those people get busted but it might be a longshot.

What really scares me about Kailub's situation is if a family member had stepped into that garage in the middle of it.

It's going to be fight or flight from the bad actors, and it's really a 50/50 dice roll. :-(

Could have a long lasting psychological  impact on the family as it is.

This is the reality of it.  Anyone bold enough to do this knowing he lives there is bold enough to do something very violent.  Local hockey...

Local hockey coach got murdered where I live for hollering at some guys stealing his neighbors catylitic converter.  It’s easy to talk about how big and bad you’d be with your gun walking in on intruders but the reality of it is way more grim.

I’m relieved Kailub didn’t walk in on them during the robbery for this reason. He has a beautiful family and a successful career, they have nothing to lose. I’d guarantee every one of them was armed too

As much as it sucks to imagine, not waking up for that may have been best case scenario. It’s one thing if you are like me and live alone, but totally different with a family and kids under the roof

The issues is the cops... they could help find these bikes... but they many times just don't. And that really sucks IMO!

I don’t know the ins and outs of it, but I can’t think of a better way to catch the thief.

They'd have never got off the property. 🤫

All of them would commit suicide...

With the same rifle.

I hide donuts in the airbox. It's the only way I've found for the cops to attempt to track them down.  If the donuts are kept fresh, they can smell them from 10-15 miles away depending on the wind.

Two bikes recovered.

Listen to the end when he describes the operation - exactly what some of us in the thread were saying. Sophisticated ring, same group that hit Phoenix Honda.

Glad to see he's making some progress.  The only thing I hate is that Kailub speaks to the camera like only the good guys are watching.

Rooting for him to get his stuff back and help get these guys off the streets.

They’re watching me. I know for a fact. The knowledge Im in possession of at the moment, doesn’t make sense. I’m talking directly towards them.

Do all police in western countries compete for who can be the most useless cunts?

Our police are too busy wanking off migrants and arresting pensioners for fb posts to do anything about actual crime. Looks like it’s much the same everywhere.

Keep your head on a swivel, brother....#2A.  Hope this results in some arrests and long prison sentences.  In the meantime, it sounds like you're doing all the right things to protect your family and get your priceless championship stuff back (albeit with some crappy graphics).

Glad he got a few back. If anything, hopefully with 17 bikes being stolen law enforcement is under some serious pressure. No secret there's been a theft gang operating in central NC for a while but seems they keep getting away with it. Seeing stolen bike postings all the time.

1000% if you live in a rural area especially with a detached garage, do no list anything moto related on FB or even have a presence in moto related groups without an alias. Make sure you change your account name AND your URL name.

Might just be me but I think he's giving out too much information in videos. Anyway good luck and I hope you get everything back unharmed.

I went through this last year - all of my mountain bikes/ road bike/ tools and as many parts as they could take.

Police didn't even want to attend the scene - just gave me a reference number.

By spending hours and hours of my life on every platform looking for one of my bikes, eventually one come up for sale - 18 months on - one hour away. Called the police in advance to inform them/ request support.

Met with the seller, covertly recorded everything and had to wait 6 hours outside his address and numerous phone calls threatening potential disruption of the peace etc for police to attend/ retrieve my property.

With the words said from the seller, combined with the fact he didn't message me apologising/ say where he got the bike from (he made up some story when I met him), it's like 100% this individual is the perpetrator and just being in possession of stolen goods is sufficient for an arrest - they let him off with a caution. 6 months on now, numerous emails chasing them up and still nothing on their part and I'm sure now I have one back, the other bikes/ tools etc are long gone.

The police just aren't interested in policing anything at all, unless it's a tweet or insta post some looney has decided to be offended by.

I hope it's better stateside and KR gets his bikes back!

Little updated on Russel's stolen bikes. Long story but looks like he's making progress. I live in Raleigh and the number of stolen bikes you see on the roadway is shocking, and yes I can tell they are stolen. The police don't even chase them anymore.
