For most people, a guide on the bar end would encourge dropped elbows because it's hard to get your elbows out without being on the ends of the bar. Fahie recently said they haven't seen the new bike and don't even know the specs/changes. Shocking if true.

He’s saying they have taken a few years to get to this point where Kenny is comfortable enough to say it’s good enough this year….how can we forget the struggles with suspension (blown shock in the whoops) hiring Chiz to help test and the apparent magic with a factory transmission….he didn’t just jump on the bike and ride it the way it is this year…he jumped on a bike that they had been testing and improving over a few years to get it to the point where KR said good enough…

I think we will find out it it is a Team Kawasaki US management problem or really a bike problem here very soon. There is a new KX450 coming and I would assume Sexton and Tickle have been allowed to ride it. If Chase thinks this new bike can be better than the outgoing bike, I believe he will stay with his lucrative $$ Factory Kawi contract. If he still chooses to exit Factory Kawi, that tells me it is a Team problem, not a bike problem. As others have mentioned, this team reminds me a lot of Factory Yamaha...

Kenny and the team spent a long time and went through a lot of suppliers getting that bike to his liking. He didn't just ride it as he found it.

The Start is one of the best parts of moto. Also part of what makes it more exciting and less predictable than other Motorsports.

This. So many of the variables have been removed from the race to the first turn that there's very little separation between the riders when they arrive. Remove all the aids (traction control, starting devices, grates, starting maps, etc.) and this will return the variability and spread out the field. It will also show who has the skill and who has been leaning on the aids. And isn't the skill what we're trying to measure between the gate drop and checkered flag?

Imo the combination of 40 rider gates, modern bikes that are so easy to launch, and metal grids means you have a tight cluster of riders all staying pretty even, which is a recipe for carnage when the track goes from being wide enough for 40 to wide enough for 10. I doubt that there is a solution without a trade off, but fewer riders would be one option as would making starts trickier to slow riders down in general and get more separation. Banning starting devices would probably help a little.

Timing is everything

The simple fact is that, as good as he is, and as dialed in on his KTM as he is… he just doesn’t have the pace to run with the Lawrence’s and Deegan. And today, his teammate Plessinger found enough motivation and speed to pass him, too. Prado’s not perfect, but he’s worlds better than this time last year on the bike that just ended Sexton’s season.

Don't forget the engine builder who was very unprofessional on Jorge his Instagram. If this isn't proof of the fact that they need to clean house from TOP to BOTTOM, then nothing is! If they want to keep Sexton they really need to start firing people.

If there's anything to be said of Chase is that he was classy enough in his first post about his recent crash, and then this admission about his ACL not to rag on Kawasaki at all, or even hint at his displeasure with the bike. Good on him.

You're telling me Chase, in the lowest-pressure environment of press day riding, forgot a fundamental skill engrained in his brain since he was a kid? And to specifically conduct an interview with Hopper to speak on it and defend that stance to the public, choosing to further align yourself with the brand over the rider... The Kawi program is so fucked, man. Give it to Mitch.
