9/1/2026 2:14pm I don't need to look anything up to see that, it's my day to day. You’re an interesting sort. You claim to understand the entire market because you see one part of it in your day-to-day work, yet you refuse to look beyond it. Every time someone orders an Uber, joins a Zoom meeting, streams a movie, edits a photo through Adobe, shops on Amazon or orders motorcycle parts from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, they are connecting to a data center. Over the years the demand has increased. Online (one day) Black Friday spending: 2015: $2.74 billion 2025: $11.8 billion Does...

9/1/2026 2:13pm The hyperscales data centres are only needed for two reason. 1/ expanding the US’s surveillance state and 2/ manufacturing a sense of ‘demand’ so the companies dont crash to zero. Which is why every second week theres a claim of AI breaking containment to show its ‘power’ and every other week a new unsubstantiated claim of their future income levels… This is where you lose me. The surveillance state is not being built through hyperscale data centers in America. That already done. NSA in Maryland and the Utah Data Center which opened in 2014. I did the math for you...

8/29/2026 4:53pm This used to be a great place to come and bench race. On occasion we’d do good things together, even tho we’d never met in person. I’ve met a lot of true Vitards in person at the races over the years, and had some fantastic experiences. But now it’s turned into a total shit show full of idiots and morans. I’ve lost count of the blocks I’ve put on people. Every thread turns into a minefield of stupidity. Thanks to so many for your support of Mayson in Sacramento and for the hookups for people you don’t even know. It...

8/29/2026 2:42pm “You asserted that individuals’ demand for cloud storage is creating demand for data centers.” Incorrect. I showed that the number of users and online services has increased dramatically since 2021, and I provided numbers supporting that. I found those facts through simple searches and shared them. If your argument is that increased demand for cloud storage contributes to demand for data centers, then yes, that is also accurate. SaaS, cloud computing, storage and streaming have all exploded over the past five years. Demand has increased. That is not an assertion. It is a fact. Your claim that individual cloud storage...

8/29/2026 10:14am I believe Hunta would be pissed if he didn't win fair and square. Getting gifted a title would stamp a permanent asterisk on it and any truly competetive soul could never accept that.

8/29/2026 9:48am Ducati has race winners and champions on their team, Triumph has race winners on their team. Beta purposely started with guys that have a ceiling of top 10. Both because of cost and time to develop. They are now taking a step up with Shane in a guy who can get a top 5 on the right day and consistently be in the top 10 in SX. They also tried to get RJ. But clearly now they are going after former winners and champions.

8/29/2026 9:48am Your reply sounds very uninformed and clueless, Beta operates on a fraction of those company’s budget and you expect them to be on par with them? Fact, Beta is doing a great job for the money their spending and you don’t pay much attention to the ins and outs of this sport

8/29/2026 9:44am I wasn't sure if you were trolling or just working with out of date numbers. But your position about paying a fee for cloud services. You have no news. Cloud service as a business in a simple search: It is currently $1 Trillion dollars per year, world wide. This is AWS, MS Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle and other companies selling servers and storage for a total of $500 billion per year. Then adding MS365, Salesforce, Adobe CC, Dropbox bringing in another $850 Billion. Apple rounds it out with $109 billion in total sales in 2025. Which included: App Store, advertising...

8/29/2026 9:38am Here in NZ we race a series called Wildman. It is a practice, 2 x 12-minute races, and then a 30-minute "Wildman". It's just a small club, but we all take it semi-seriously, as mostly C, B, and the odd A-class vets etc are known to do
For fun and to help me manage effort/energy during the 30+ minute race, and to involve her more, I have my 11-year-old daughter use her headset back and forth to me racing. A few things. The volume to hear is REALLY difficult to set. To not be too loud (VERY off-putting/dangerous) or...

8/29/2026 9:37am Talking to your mate on a streetbike , and having someone suddenly burst into your ears on a racebike are not the same. And F1 teams have Comms areas set up in their software so routine messaging is done where less likely to cause drivers a problem. And drivers regularly tell the pit wall to STFU.

Not hillbilly Liked a forum topic The rumor was “false.”
8/29/2026 6:26am In his press day interview with Lewis Phillips, Haiden Deegan said “No, that was false..” when asked about the rumor that he wanted $100k start money to race for Team USA at this year’s MXoN. He explained that he didn’t want the team to “lose money” and that he was glad the team was standing up for itself. So, how did our media guys and podcasters get this all so wrong? Who started the rumor, and why did they run with it? And why did it take so long for someone, anyone to ask the question that Lewis (thank you!)...
