Next MXGP season its going to be amazing.

He did good races in 450 in holland. Sure he has the speed and its ready for the challenge.

100% agree. De Wolf just went 2-1 to beat Herlings at Valkenswaard on the 450. That's very impressive for his "debut" 450 race.

Last year at Valkenswaard he raced on a 450 aswell.

Ah my bad, I did think he had raced a 450 before just wasn't completely sure. I put the debut in quotation marks to save myself a bit haha. Thank you for the info.

29, a bit young but i fully understand it. Can't imagine him getting anything decent in GPs.

Not to always make it ''The GPs suck financially' post, but just imagine if he was not a GP rider but a SX rider. I would think a 29 year old 450 SX rider who got 3 top 5 SX finishes this season and won a main 3 years ago would still be making a pretty good living.

I agree. The situation is dire.

I feel like there is a lot to learn, debate and discuss about his career. It was far from normal, but still took him to the top.

I hope that his career is celebrated in the fashion that it deserves.

I saw that yamaha made a post about thanking jago geerts, what’s happening with that? What does his future look like?

Adamo probably moving to MXGP for Red Bull KTM in 2026 & 2027 (replacing Herlings), 2026 considered as a learning year.

Längenfelder stays in MX2, but leaves Red Bull De Carli for Red Bull KTM.

The Coenen's stay where they were with Red Bull De Carli in MXGP and MX2.

Rossi leaves Red Bull KTM for Maddii Racing.

Is there any chance of Geerts going to Ama in place of Prado?

Do the Coenens contracts end in 2026?  Or if they actually come to the US in 2027 would it still be under contract with the KTM group?  Good news/bad news for Lucas is that he has a great shot at winning the 450 title next which would bump him to 450s for supercross if they ever actually came over.  I think he beats Febvre next year assuming both are healthy for the full year (with Romain a year older and Lucas more mature and potentially faster).  Herlings probably won't make it through a whole season without injury, and on a new bike.  The speed is there for sure.  Gasjer on a new bike that has not performed well in the GPs.  It would be De Wolfs first season in the 450 class, I think Lucas would have him covered...  Should be a fun year.  I know the GPs catch a lot of flack for some of the tracks and half full gates, but Americans who are not watching the GPs are missing out IMO!

I cannot see an american 450 factory or semi-factory be interested in Geerts. He has been very weak on the 450 and has no SX experience.

Having said that if i'm running an american 250 team i'd for sure consider Geerts. At a minimum you have a rider comparable to Vialle in the outdoors and maybe he can do something in sx as well.

With Herlings, Coldenhoff, de wolf and a bunch of other good GP riders its hard to get noticed in the Netherlands, but Bogers had an awesome career. Winning an MXGP, something like 12 or 14 moto top 3 finishes, factory honda, factory fantic, i think two podium finishes in the nations.
Some lows with injuries and maybe the attention you get when you have a HRC factory ride and dont have the results. But overall quite nice

I remember the shock when he was announced at HRC alongside Gajser, having not really been a stand out 250 rider, at the same time his major backer HSF went there too... but honestly i thing without the massive injury he had, he would have been a great 450 for them.

The fact he won a GP backs up that fact , you dont luck into GP wins

Contract is through 2026, yeah. DeCoster also said it's possible they do races in the US next year if their MXGP schedule doesn't interfere with the US schedule.

Are they still testing SX in the US right now? Could it be possible that we even see them race a couple SX rounds already?

I’ve heard that they are doing SX at the start of next season, I’d imagine they’d take the Prado route of doing a few SX rounds preseason

I think joelsmx is referring to what Prado did at the start of 2024... There was nothing wrong with what he did then.

Watching the Vital / Racer X show, with 'The 4', with their so happily / enthusiastically referring to 'Dan', it made me think, Can / Will 'Dan' remove himself enough from his Fathers path of damage and destruction, and really give thought, and, well, Action, to truly helping the Riders / Teams / The Sport, improve and Pay the all participants.

Instead of just the 'owners' of it........

I very much doubt it. He, his father, and various backers / partners, have made Millions from bleeding the Sport.

'Dan' =  Davide Lluongo, son of that Vampire, Giuseppe.

You learn supercross on a 250.....and if you have no supercross experience at all.....jumping staight into the strongest competition is just  stupid.........If the coenens really wanted to go to america ...they should have done it like ...........Ken Roczen......every year in mxgp  is a wasted year if you want to be successful in america

...very short lap times will do that.  timed practice laps were in the 1:35 range.

Shoutout to my good friends Fobbe 841 and Conijin 38 for a least keeping the fast guys in sight for a while...

It's an old two-stroke if you look at it.
