Insert pic of the DBP with a stab of the clutch . You,ll experience the Thill of 18.8 ft lbs of Lightning Quick hit . In a mere 275 rpm 19.8 ft lbs of Rocket ship like propulsion. If you’re an above average Hackysack player , with a Quick foot . You,ll lead the pack to the 1st turn every time. It’s like a Top fuel car against a Fat kid in a peddle car. Haha
2050 yz 250fx…….
I always wanted to try Dean Ferris' 2013 YZ250F (The one he holeshotted both MXON races on).
I might be misremembering, but I recall reading it had the following:
- 3 Gears
- Weighed less than 90kg
- Engine developed by Cosworth
Would be amazing to own let alone ride...
Beat me to it. I thought it was a 400cc. Then he raced a KTM 350cc in 2010. I'd love to have one of his works 350's!!

James Stewart's 2005 SR250
Yaa I remember reading that he was on a 400 that year, AC was/is a beast. One of my post on this thread has his 2011 350!! I liked the body style of the 2010 and 2011 bikes better then the 2012-2014 style.

I have a few Rickman Metisses (Metissae?). My favorite, by far, is my '61 British Racing Green with tan leather seat Rickman/Matchless 500. Great fun on a grass track! The right-side shift, up for first, down for 2-4, takes some getting used to though - especially when racing a left-side shift, down for first, up for 2-4 bike on the same day... makes for some exciting moments for the rider behind me!
Because that' s my favourite Maico tank so I put one on it.
well I'll be dammed, thanks for the correction.
McGraths cr250, the 93 but from the 96 season(dialed), and the 05.
They were slow. Not especially competitive with the upstart Elsie 125s that were released about the same time. But I've always thought the yellow tank 73/4 Husky 125s were the best looking bikes in that era that I ever saw. And, around here, Bobby Pickard demonstrated on several occasions on the yellow toaster, that the rider matters way more than the bike.
that one vintage Harley Davidson mx 250
if HD was such an evil & retarded company (read about how they are intentionally bankrupting 50yr old dealerships) they could easily bring back a fun to ride "dirt bike" that people would buy. Not a race bike but something fun for 7-8grand and air cooled 4 or 2 stroke.
I would love to have my old 07 Suzuki GSXR 750. I loved it but unfortunately totalled it racing.
AKE! Seeing him in the Trans-AMA when I was 16 convinced me that I should switch from my CMF Penton 125 to a new 250 Square Barrel Maico. Destroying the front wheel led to installing a Yamaha wheel on the front. Best bike ever - I rode it in both the 250 and 500 "Expert" classes for over 2 years, without a single DNF. (It did need 2nd/3rd gears replace regularly, but I upshifted under power). I picked up an NOS 1972 250 Square Barrel a few years ago, that a friend found in Germany. I haven't ridden it, but I'll get to it at some point. Love this thread!!!
I picked up a running, complete CR 60 in decent shape about 10 years ago, from a Craigslist ad. The guy lived way out in the boonies, in a former one-room schoolhouse that he was making into a home. The CR60 is the perfect compliment to 1983 CR480's. Very cool bike! Great choice!
Pit Row
In 1981 when I was 13 I wanted this CR80 bad.
Call me lucky, I've got 3 of these!
H-series KDX200
A brand new '89 RMX 250 with plenty of spare parts!
My uncle gave me this for my 15th birthday 20ish year ago since it was sitting in his garage collecting dust. It was my first big bike, I absolutely loved ripping through the woods and open fields with it. Just a total couch and so forgiving and easy to ride but still ripped! Unfortunately some crack head stole it out of a trailer in San Diego. RIP
I still have my RMX it is a bike ill never part with... it does everything and its fun as heck to ride (i have few bits and bobs on it from the JP Suzuki Factory test department so its a little more lively than in stock trim)
if i could pick any bike it would be a mint 92 RM80 (9/10 year old me wanted one really bad)
There are some dirtbikes I'd love to own, but right now I wouldn't mind having one of these in my garage:
This 1990 KTM MX 500 was long on my list.
In 2024 i found one in France which i start now to Rebuild
1981 RM 250
I would really like a YZ250F with the full GYTR catalog already on it, brand new. I wish they did a Factory Edition with GYTR parts anyways, at least the head with an intake and exhaust. Not sure I would want to spend the money with every single part, as much of it is not needed. But in this scenario, a dream bike would be a new one, full catalog thrown at it. I think I still would prefer the 21-23 for now but maybe if the '27 is all new and is a good blend of the 23-gen and 24-gen, then that would be the perfect bike for me.
Mickey Diamond's factory 1987 CR125R...
